How many Taylor CDs do you have? What's your favorite? What
songs do you never get tired of? What song do you most want to hear
him sing live?

It's hard to say which song is my favorite but West Texas Sky was my most listened to song in iTunes last year. I love the Open Door Cafe set and particularly when he's singing "It's too funky to funk, please don't funk me out." I never get sick of it. I love Texas flood and really the whole set.
Right now I'm loving the Smith's set. Last night I was on a cellcert(first one where my phone didn't crap out) and I heard Alabama State of Mind(or whatever it's called) acoustic and live and that made me listen to that set all day. It's great.
I most want to hear Taylor perform anything in an acoustic setting. I don't care what it is. Right now today, I love Hello Lonely from the Smith's set. I can't get the song out of my head. I know that won't happen but in my heart, it's my favorite right now. I also love Ain't No Sunshine. I have never heard of him performing West Texas Sky but I would be so happy if he did.
I have 3 Taylor CDs. UTR, DIMYP single, and TH. I also have IYT as mp3s and many live sets. The live sets are all that and a bag of chips. UTR is all that with no chips... IYT has a single serving of chips and the live sets have a full family sized bag of Tostitos.
LOL on the chips rating Jan
I agree, I would love to hear Taylor acoustic
What amazes me is how much more I pay attention when I listen to music now because of Taylor's influence. In the past, I just liked what I liked. Now I actually hear why I like it if that makes any sense.
I don't know how many CDs I've burned of live sets, cellcerts, what have you.
My favorite original is "Hold On To Your Love", I like the lyrics, the funky calypso of the first part, that purr thing he does (omg), and then the strung out blues of Part 2.
My favorite covers are two songs I heard the first time he ever played them live -- "Compared to What" on this tour, the Myrtle Beach performance was an amazing out-of-body experience, Taylor took me someplace way beyond church. And the AI tour standout, where I fell in love for the first time, "Don't Let Me Down".
Get tired of Taylor songs? I don't think it's possible. Even the cheesier songs from the CD, I can't help singing along... "I can't get enough of you bay-bee"
I want to hear live the tour covers I haven't yet experienced -- especially Supertramp and She's Gone.
Hi everyone!
I'm new to the group and just getting into the music! I have the cd of course, but am interested in finding more recordings...his original songs that he sang at the Foxwoods show were great.
Also--I heard that Taylor did a cover of Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble"...anyone know where I could find that?! Ray is another one of my favorite artists and I would love to hear Tayor's rendition.

I've got all the cd's and all the downloaded stuff, and lots of video/mp3's from the AI and the current tour.
Margaux, every time I see him grab that red guitar I am hoping he will do Don't Let Me Down! I really loved his version (never saw it live, only youtube).
I'd also love to hear him do Ain't No Sunshine, or at least finally get to see the full length version from AI that was shown on the big screen in the bar in his home town for the fan party.
I love his new live version of Somehow- after watching him cover everyone elses
songs, it's interesting to see how he covers his own songs! That song has a lot of emotion, and I love the way he starts out with just him and the piano, and then escalates the song with the whole band coming in . Really great arrangement!
But I do have to say that sometimes I wish he would not sing so fast- after seeing 3 live shows I sometimes feel like he is rushing through the songs. I don't think he'd lose any of the energy or momentum by taking a little more time with some of the songs.
That being said, I have enjoyed every minute of his shows, and can't wait to see him again!
