This post however is all about the music.

My favorite female performer will be at Capitol Center for the Arts on August 12. Even though it's two days after the American Idol concert, as I just told my DHunny, there are a few musicians that if they are playing in my home town, I just have to go. Bonnie Raitt is certainly close to the top of that list. I have been going to see her shows for 30 years, and have never been disappointed. She epitomizes for me the best a female performer can be, all about the music and the heritage, generous to other musicians, showing us that women can sing about sex and love without being objects, even after fifty, all with style, grace, that magnificent voice and that awesome slide guitar.

Tickets go on sale Monday morning. PM me if you are interested.
According to the article, Bonnie's doing a similar event in Maine, I don't know any details about that.

decisions - decisions

Looking at all the concerts I would love to go to I'm begining to think I would save enough on gas to pay for an apartment in Portland for the summer Grin
I'll be headed home from NH that day (8/11). It sounds like a fun night, but I will have to pass as I wouldn't get home until the wee hours of the morning.
Of course, it's the same night as my birthday excursion to Hampton to see Jeff Dunham! Damn!
