I want to touch Taylor's hair when it's in that pompadour. I bet it hurts!

Oh that hair has got to go! But love the suit! LOL

But the hair goes with the character! And he's quite the character.

Looks like Frenchie got to his hair too! I don't remember Frankie Avalon being so poofy!

I hate the hair too.
But love the chest hair. Mmmmmmmm.

No doubt about it--he is too sexy, the whole darn pkg! It's campy cheese, Taylorized!
Frankie Avalon also wore white in the film---I like Taylor's take on Teen Angel!
How does TaysHarmonica do it--she is a never ending supply of pics--and they are all great!

Here's a great recap from Danielle who went to the show on the 7th.
All this hype is getting me excited--("I got chills, they're multiplying! And I'm losing control!")

"Hi everyone,
I went to the show last night & had a blast. For those of you that don't know, my husband has been wonderful over this 2 1/2 year obsession. He came with me, just like he does to the majority of Taylor related concerts & appearances I have gone to. The show is just an upbeat, fun, light show. At the end, you want it to keep on going. Actually I heard people saying, "Can we come back tomorrow?" I was in the 8th row on the right/center aisle. I didn't see many other Taylor fans, however, when he did come out, there was a lot of screaming. I overheard people in the rows in front of me and in back of me, both saying that they were surprised that Taylor was Teen Angel. They said that they hadn't heard anything from him since Idol. The first act was fun with lots of upbeat songs. Then came the intermission. Taylor's part came about halfway into the second act (Scene 3). Frenchie (she was really good, really funny) was just saying that she wished that she had one of those guardian angels that you see in all of the movies. Above her attached to the ice cream shop building, is a giant ice cream cone. Then this 50's instrumental music comes on and all of these lights go onto the ice cream cone. It opens up slowly, and then there he is, Mister Teen Angel, Taylor Hicks. He got a good reception, and many people screamed when they saw him. He started singing the first verse of "Beauty School Dropout." After the first verse, the ice cream cone starts lowering, and Taylor starts doing this silly side to side and up and down hula looking dance. It was really funny. He looked like he was having a lot of fun. For that matter, the entire cast looks like they have a blast every night that they perform. Back to Taylor. Once he reached the stage, he opened up the ice cream cone elevator, and sang the rest of the song to Frenchie. At one point in a break in the song, she said in a high squeaky Frenchie voice, "I Love You". Everyone laughed. They walked back and forth along the stage, and interacted. He still looked a little unsure of himself, so it did look like the actress who played Frenchie was guiding him around. He did well though. Toward the end of the song, he got back into his ice cream cone elevator, rode it back up, and did his silly hula dance again. After the singing was done, he added a harmonica solo to the end of "Beauty School Dropout". The crowd liked this a lot. Then it was over, he rode his ice cream elevator off the stage, while again doing his hula dance. He did come back out for the curtain call and sang the beginning of "Grease is the word" and was dancing with the entire cast. He added a harmonica solo to this song as well. It looked like the cast enjoys the harmonica. The crowd liked this too. The entire cast did the Hand Jive as well. I am a big fan of Taylor's, but I have to admit, he did have a little trouble with the choreography of the Hand Jive. He messed up a few times, but it made me chuckle. When he had his individual Curtain Call bow, he got a really good reception with applause and screams. Overall, he did a great job. I did wait at the stage door after the performance. I only waited about 10-15 minutes for Taylor. He was the 4th one out of the cast. His handler/driver came out first and said to take out what you want signed, and just have your camera ready to point and shoot. He wasn't taking any individual pictures. He came out and walked around the crowd signing mostly playbills, and just responding to some quick comments like, "I voted for you", and "I Loved your costume." Both of which he responded to "Thanks" or something like that. I handed him two thing together, a picture of us at a meet and greet from a while ago, just to show him that the Soul Patrol was there to support him and my playbill. He really didn't acknowledge the picture, but he did sign it only, and handed me the playbill and the signed picture back. He continued signing autographs for about 5 minutes and then got into his big black Ford Excursion, and he was gone. It was a lot of fun and I do have pictures which I am going to try to post. It has been a while so give me a little time. I hope that this recap helps those of you that can't make it to see him in Grease. Even without Taylor it is a really fun show, and the rest of the cast is great and funny. Taylor is just an added perk.
