I wonder if Taylor will remember that he was in Manchester almost two years ago from this coming weekend? The towns must be a blur to him now.
I certainly remember

Cassie and I were just talking about that today. Remembering the fact that she was taking a sponge bath in a McDonald's in Merrimick 25 minutes before the show was about to start!
And about 2 months ago I was taking a sponge bath in a Chevron just outside of Birmingham before the BBQ.
Ah, the things we do...
Whooo! Hope it's for real this time!! I will get up at 6:00 and if I had his number I sure would give him that wake up call. Who wouldn't want to hear his groggy voice the minute he wakes up?

I've just logged onto WZID and am streaming online. It's not working too badly at the moment but I know I'm behind the live listeners. I'll keep an eye on the thread here.

I can't do a perfect transcript in real time, but this is an approximation of the interview:
Mike from WZID: Taylor is now playing teen angel, and starring in capitol 4th on PBS,
T: I’m doing great, excited about coming up in Washington. I’ve always enjoyed performing on the 4th, whether it be in bars or clubs.
M: asked about playing with Huey Lewis & News, Jerry Lee Lewis
T: HL is a harmonica player, JLL piano, those 2 guys are musical legends, I’m excited.
M: Does it make you self-conscious?
T: Definitely. JLL is musical legend, HL had great songs in the 80s, I’m looking forward to getting a few autographs.
M: How many songs are you doing:
T: An original tune, dancing in the dark, and This Land is Your Land, excited about doing that with the National Symphony Orchestra.
Did we lose taylor? Maybe his cell battery ran out?
Mike got him back in about a minute. Back talking about Capitol Fourth:
M: You have made it to Broadway:
T: It’s been great. Never thought in a million years. Starting to like it, performing live 8 times a week, what I love doing.
M: I was not surprised, you have more visual style, as much fun to watch as listen:
T: Interestingly enough, television and visual aspect can be more important than audio aspect.
M: Little more Elvis, little less Frankie Avalon.
T: Channeled Gram Parsons and Elvis Presley. I’ve been able to make it my own.
M: Will American Idol keep producing stars?
T: As long as kids come out, thousands of people audition. Beauty of it, allows America and kids of America to get out and show talent.
M: David and David, exciting finish.
T: It was a wonderful run. The talent and performers, they did well this year. I thought one was going to win, I didn’t know who.
M: Is it true you sang Try a Little Tenderness to your grandmother?
T: I found soul music at early age, Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye when 11 or 12, found connection there. All of those artists, enjoyed listening to emotional connection they have with songs. I’m glad I did.
M: If you’re in NY go see him in Grease as Teen Angel. New England Soul Patrol is all listening, increasing my audience by 300 listeners,
T: I appreciate that, have a great day.
Mike says he heard from lots of fans all week, the interview will be broadcast again at 8, and posted on the website later this morning.
So glad when he threw in NESP. Mike Morin and I emailed back and forth quite a few times yesterday and it paid off!!
He asked me to email him this morning and I will to thank him for the interview, the mention, and the positive things he said about Taylor even after they came back from commercial break after the interview!
That's great Tricia! The shoutout to us was perfect!
I would still like to capture the interview for our archives. I will try to do that tonight when I get home. Once we have a link to the interview, everyone should spread the word to other boards!
It was obvious Mike had done some research for the interview. Tricia, did you help him out with that?
