Hmmm... his eyes got to me from the first moment I saw him on my tv screen right before they showed his audition.  But my first real thud was caused by the Levon performance.  And when he sang Takin' it to the Streets... Oooh, I can't say what nearly happened then.  Fear Devil

Wink
Mine was Something. I'm a Beatles freak, and I had lost all hope that anyone would ever do a Beatles song on that show. In the final analysis, I guess it's easier to get a Harrison song than a Lennon/McCartney, but... damn... what a choice! Only think that could have made me Thud harder is Here There & Everywhere. Or Tay duetting with Paul McCartney, but then I may not have even seen Tay... so, yeah, this was good.
I'd have to say my first Thud was when he came out in the Ice Blue suit.  I LOVED that performance (and that suit!).  That's when Barry Manilow coached them.  I went nuts over his dancing too.  Then I saw Trouble and died.  Smile The BIGGEST Thud I've ever had is when I saw the video of him singing Don't Let Me Down for the first time at the AI concert. I nearly hyperventilated over that one!
Hmmmm....
I know Taylor had my ears from the very first, his audition, as there was just SOMETHING about his VOICE, which resonated within my soul...

Unfortunately, I have absolutely NO RECOLLECTION AT ALLwhen I had my first visual Thud with Taylor....

But MUSICALLY, it was when I purchased "Under the Radar" and listened to his song "My Friend" which TRULY clinched it for me... Thud:Thud:Thud:Thud:Thud
Went nuts when I saw his audition and the look on his face when he answered Simon with his reply on his voice. *sigh* I just wanted to take him home with me.

I thudded right away during his audition (Good God to see him acoustically will be a dream come true) and very nearly passed out when he did "You Send Me".

I liked his looks from day one, as he looked like my "first love" Heart
and also like a friend who had recently passed away. (hmmm, I wonder if first love looks like him now???? did I say that out loud? Rotfl) Enjoyed the music from the start too. I think where I
went over the edge was Play That Funky Music. I thought Trouble
was sexy, and was reading the boards from early on, but PTFM just
did something to my insides. The doing his own thing despite Simon,
the writhing on the floor, the silliness, the ending Thud I was just gone.

Oh, I so agree....this is when I thought, wow this guy is very sexy.....I was blown away.....and still am.....don't want it to ever end!

Well, he caught my attention from the very beginning.  But I have to admit March 1, 2006, when he sang "Easy" and winked (at me, of course) is when I really THUDDED for the very first time!
I just rewatched the video when Taylor strutted into the room playing his harmonica and then sat down to face Paula,Simon and Randi.Randi asked him how he was doing and Taylor answers with that gorgeous southern drawl " I'm nervous as I can be " That's when I lost conciousness,I think it was a thud !!
From day one! I thought he was the cutest thing when I first saw him, Gray hair and all.

Doing the reverse dog pound while singing Taken it to the Streets was killer! LOVED HIM!!!
For me it was the music first, and the fact I could recognize him easily with his hair. So I had never watched Idol before but somehow kept checking to see where he was at. Then PTFMWB when he fell on the floor just kind of pulled me in.Thud Something and YSM - I'm thinking wow this guy is really sexy. Thud Then at the Finale he comes out of that black hole in the leather jacket playing his harp, I think I nearly died. Thud:Thud: I was able to get a M&G at the Idol show in Long Island and the minute he stepped through that door it was like a thunderbolt hit me. I haven't recovered since.Woohoo:woohoo:
