It is a multi-stage concert so not everything will be covered but the line up to be streamed is pretty great.

Haven't done an AOL webcast before - - hoping it is as good as the iClip broadcasts have been.
Find I am becoming addicted to these webcasts.
Would go in person in a heartbeat if I could but since that isn't possible this is the next best thing.

ETA: updated schedule
The AOL stream is producing very good video and more importantly - audio

and get this - -

There are options for those who can't handle the usual connections - - very cool.

CONNECTION SPEED: 700k . . . 300k . . . 100k

Reminders

Steve Winwood is up at 6:00 tonight (Sat)

part of Sunday's 7/20 line up includes

08:00 PM John Mayer
09:30 PM Black Crowes
10:45 PM Dave Matthews Band
Thanks I might just have to check this out. Since I'm not doing anything all day but sitting playing on the computer...There looks like some cool bands.
I love these webcasts, Alicia. Am on the look out for some more sites that do good quality streams.

AOL is unusual in that it offers 3 options for those who can't handle the ususal high speed.
Tried dropping back to 300 last night and the audio wasn't affected at all - the only thing that changed was the size of the video screen - lost a little sharpness too maybe.
Meant to try the 100 but got distracted and forgot.

Know there are a lot of John Mayer fans on the board so here's the time to try a live webcast

Sunday - - July 20th

Am going to bump this for the Quick List users a couple of times today so no one misses the lineup.
that's 8 pm Eastern or Mountain time?
I did hear Spoon and O.A.R. last night -- I agree it was a fine quality webcast, and I enjoyed the music.
If I'm home tonight and get some computer time in, I'll try to remember to tune in again.
Bumping as a reminder of tonight's [Sunday] lineup - -

AOL TIMES ARE EASTERN ZONE

I missed the first two sets

06:00 PM Rodrigo & Gabriela - - caught about half of their set - - fabulous guitar players ! - hard to describe style - - " fantastically electic " works

Coming up - -
07:00 PM Ingrid Michaelson

08:00 PM John Mayer

09:30 PM Black Crowes

10:45 PM Dave Matthews Band

Edited to add the link so don't have to go to the top post ....... http://www.attblueroom.com/music/Mile-Hi...ebcast.php

Remember you have a choice of streaming speeds - - so try it before deciding you can't do it .
Sad Bummed that I missed this. Did anyone hear John Mayer and what songs did he do? Just curious.
Hawks - - I am so sorry you didn't see it in time. AOL's quality was excellent !

I have a large monitor so usually watch with a split screen - - that way I can be doing something else too.
But it means I miss some things - - like the names of songs for one.

I did watch most of Mayer but I'm not familiar with his catalog and honestly don't remember the names of the songs if I did catch them.
Someone on Boogie mentoned that he was smoking hot on the guitar for " Don't Need No Doctor! " - and I think that was the one I was OMG over too.
Confess to not being much of a fan of the guy's singing voice or style - - but admire his guitar work very much.

ETA: ... looky what I found on the Tube Cool

I Don't Need No Doctor

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - - there's some chatting with the audience

and there's more up already too - - searched mayer mile high festival and got - - http://youtube.com/results?search_query=...val&page=1

I'm going to keep putting up the webcasts as I find them - - will try to start the threads earlier but sometimes I don't have the information on the lineup until close to the date.
Usually have things up by Thursday for a Friday start - or Friday for a Saturday start.

This is a great way to see some artists you might never experience in live peformance otherwise.
I am addicted ! ! Smile
AH....you are AWESOME! bearhugI am going to search for more but "I Don't Need No Doctor" is censored AMAZING!! Eight minutes and 44 seconds of kick ass guitar....John and Robbie McIntosh at the end....I LOVE IT! Thanks for finding that!

Off to find some more goods. Grin
