The taper uploaded last week but just got the time to load it into a widget that will work on the board.
There is a great flow to this set - and the band - what can I say - just when I think I've heard them at their best they raise the bar again.
Nothing beats live but the taper got a very good capture for an outside concert (thanks climbingbear)
Have to mention Pain In My Heart was the song that got me to make the drive for that first live show in Portsmouth last February
and the Workplay peformance was my favorite - right up until this one at the Waterfront !
Cover songs are :
Pain In My Heart - - Otis Redding
Paint It Black - - Rolling Stones
Running down A Dream - - Tom Petty
While you're listening - here's a little info about the festival
Burlington VT's Waterfront Park on the shore of Lake Champlain is a terrific venue for a music weekend and the city itself is wonderful - very pedestrian friendly with a major section of one street closed to vehicle traffic. Lots to do within a few blocks of the waterfront - a very steep uphill few blocks by the way ! !
Friday night Mike Gordon - former Phish bass player - put on a free concert with his relatively new band - - hopes were high and rumors were flying but native son Trey Anastasio did not show up to sit in with his old bandmate.
Saturday night opened with Blues and Lasers - another fairly new band and the side project of GPN's lead guitarist, Scott Tourneau, for his own music ideas.
Can sample Blues & Lasers here . . . http://www.myspace.com/scotttournet
Then Grace and the Nocs took the stage - Grace said they were glad to be home - and they proceeded to prove it with the best show I've seen them do yet and the others were very, very good !
After GPN finished their 19 song set - we were off to a bar called Nectar's - Phish's old hangout - where a friend of GPN was playing - Aya and The Leaves - for some more good music, drinks and talk. There is an active night life in Burlington.

Grace, Bryan, Matt and Scott all showed up. Grace did a duet with Aya on Angel From Montgomery - will try to find an mp3 or video of that.
Most of the group I was with stayed for Derek Trucks Sunday night. I didn't want to make one 8 1/2 - 9 hr run and had to be back here for Tuesday morning so reluctantly left - - and missed Grace joining him for the encore song - Key To The Highway.
Glad Susan Tedeschi didn't pop in too - - because then I really would have to shoot myself for leaving .
Adding a short FYI: Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks are married and sometimes drop in on each others gigs. They also perform with a blended band called
Soul Stew Revival - they have a great sound.
