Thats AWESOME! Hes the only reason Im watchimg tonite. I went to his myspace this afternoon and guess what he was online or maybe Bill Will so I told Him to kick ass and take names. Remind them why he won last year!

Personally, yes, I was a little disappointed that Taylor didn't get an intro. But then I think...the man needs so introduction. He absolutely rocked American Idol last year and the diehard viewers know who he is. I just wish they had told everyone the name of the song. Clive did mention it during his speech if everyone stayed awake during that.
Taylor was great. He sounded good. The harp sounded good. It was all good. He did seem a bit disconnected, but it could just be me being used to seeing him with the band on the stage with him. But I love him and am biased and just love him no matter what he does. The Beatles' tune was excellent...perhaps a preview of a tour song? Wouldn't that be great?
Back to the whole did AI diss him, or did they not...you know what, at this point, I don't care. Just direct me to the music and turn up the volume. I'm so done with all the comparisons and the battles...I just want to hear some really good music and put it all behind me.
hes now free fromai so who cares. someone said Taylors threds were gone from the ai site right after the show. He'll be fine hes got lots of fans and sper who've got his back.

Why did Kelly have her own band and Carrie her own and Taylor had to sing with the sloggy AI band? Amy, I think that is what made him seem disconnected. The AI band and backup singers dragged the song down. And no introduction, not cool.

AMERICA VOTED FOR TAYLOR ,AMERICA LOVED HIM AND COULD CONNECT IN SO MANY WAYS .THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR,AI BEING RANDY JACKSON AND PAULA MOVED HIM TOWARDS ALL OF US IN A BIG ROUND ABOUT WAY THE PEOPLE DECIDED TO EMBRACE HIM.HE DOES NOT NEED AI ANYMORE HE KNOWS IT WAS THE SHOW THAT GOT HIM ABOVE THE RADAR AND HE IS SOOOOOOO HAPPY NOT TO MENTION HOW EXCITED WE FANS ARE TOO.I DO WISH HE HAD HAD HIS BAND OUT FRONT WITH HIM AND THIS GUY IN MY MIND NEEDS NO INTRO.TAYLOR IS GOING TO DO JUST FINE,HE'S GOT A LEVEL HEAD ON HIS SHOULDERS AND TRUELY KNOWS HIMSELF AND IS DEEP DEEP SOULFUL HUMANBEING.LETS JUST ALL SIT BACK AND ENJOY HIS MUSIC AND BE THANKFUL THATS HE'S ON OUR RADAR.
Lisa, you're right - the point is that *we* know who he is, and we're lucky enough to realize how wonderful he is, and enjoy him. Boo hoo for everyone else who never figured that out last year. BUT, I have to be honest here - he really didn't do well last night, probably because he didn't have his own band, and he missed one of his cues during "Heaven Knows". It's too bad - and I also think - sorry - that the entire Sgt. Pepper medley by everyone wasn't very good. Why did they pick that medley anyway - are they trying to butter up Paul McCartney to come on next year???? Certainly not a great choice of music for Taylor, anyway. But I got to see him, TWICE, and I didn't expect that, so I'm happy.

I was disappointed that he was the only one not introduced but AI is now gone and Taylor is not! The Sgt Pepper was blah but enjoyed watching Taylor anyway.
Now, I loved his Sgt. Pepper song, I think he did it really well and nailed it. If you don't remember the song (like I do), you wouldn't have gotten it as much, I think. He was a little off with Heaven Knows, especially at the beginning, but came through at the end. He put his all into it as always. I really think there should have been an introduction as well, and he should have had his band with him.
Daughtry's eye make-up - just strange, obviously he's hollywood now - lol. Kelly should stick to her pop sound and not rocker chick sound, in my opinion.
