The Courtyard Marriott Providence Downtown has a very good deal going on right now and I think it only goes through next Monday. You can get a King room with a sofabed or a 2 queen room for $111. This is a very nice hotel and is in a great location. I have actually booked a room there for us already.

Thanks Tricia, I'll check it out this evening and book. I know the hotel is close to Providence Place, the wonderful downtown mall with Cheesecake Factory. I don't know anything about the theater.

It doesn't hurt to book it, you can always cancel. It is about .4 miles from the hotel to the theatre. And yes Margaux it is very close to that wonderful mall and food!

I think the guy has a meeting until later this afternoon. Meanwhile, we can find out how many people need rooms so I can tell him the right number.
I'll take a room with a king bed, I don't know if I have a date yet. (He may want to come for the sleepover and the cheesecake factory but not the show). If he stands me up, I'll auction off the sofabed.
I'll be surprised if the group rates beat that $111 room rate.
I checked the rate this afternoon and was getting $119 for some reason but I'm not quibbling over $8.
