Hi all...I'm sure you're aware of the email circulating re Taylor's girlfriend, the SP,etc. It's been all over several sites. While I think it's
fun that we can discuss his love life here without a drama explosion , I think it would be good to not repost that email here for several reasons.

The main reason I think it would be good to keep it off NESP is that it didn't come from Taylor. I think if Taylor wants to address the SP re his girlfriend he has the means to do it through his blogs on myspace and HQ. Even if his friend really wrote it and asked for it to be circulated, in my opinion he gave out too much information and it wasn't written in a positive way. It will probably stir things up even more for Taylor in the long run and will also anger some members of the SP.

I'm fine with posting media pics, and discussing her identity in the
Taylor's girlfriend thread as of course it's a topic of huge interest. I
just don't want to be posting things we don't even know are real or
not, and may not express Taylor's feelings or wishes.

Does anyone else find this whole thing really weird? I mean I've never been this involved or invested in anyone's musical career before so perhaps I've just never witnessed anything like it. The series of events are just strange to me...

Seriously, I wonder if anyone here would be willing to show their age and let us know firsthand what it was like when Paul McCartney married Linda? Of course, there was no internet back then, so it wasn't nearly as... um... cuckoo.

not sure I would pay as much attention to Taylor's life if I didn't believe  he really needs a strong fanbase to counter all the "carp" that gets thrown at him  - - and so to everything there is a purpose if you believe in fate    

I rarely post anywhere, but I guess I can safely weigh in on this subject in a great forum like the NESP!  At the end of the day we all just want to be happy and have peace.  I just hope that at some time now or in the future Taylor will have that too.  I have really enjoyed this Soul Patrol ride I've been on and the many, many good people I've "met" along the way.  If this girl turns out to be his happiness, good for him!  I can't wait to see him again in concert....three more times and counting!!!   A happy Taylor will make for a fantastic concert experience!!      Susan      

The internet does make a huge difference.
By the time Paul married Linda, it was about 1970 and the Beatles were no longer the teen idols of the day, we'd moved on to Bobby Sherman and David Cassidy (or my classmates had, I was into the Woodstock era musicians..)

The more interesting and bizarre Beatles controversy was the rumor that Paul was Dead. It was quite the urban legend, fueled by supposed clues on the cover of Abbey Road (Paul is barefoot), and playing "Revolution No. 9" from the White Album backwards....
