SHEMEKIA COPELAND
When singing sensation Shemekia Copeland first appeared on the scene in 1997 with her groundbreaking debut CD, TURN THE HEAT UP, she quickly became, at 18 years old, a roots music superstar. Critics from around the country celebrated Shemekia's music as fans of all ages agreed that an unstoppable new talent had arrived.

Why couldn't the Back Door Slam / Gov't Mule concert in Northampton be the 19th instead of the 9th.

You seriously need to move a bit farther south AH. Grin
Keep watching the Grand, AH. I bet she will make another appearance there around this same time. Smile
That would be nice Amy.
Have been eyeing the schedule at the Grand off and on - - so far the Capital Steps show is the only thing that has tempted me.

Shemekia's site isn't always as up to date as it could be - - but this weekend's Waterville date has been there for a while.
Oct. 4, 2008 - Waterville Opera House - Waterville, ME

Kind of forgot about it because knew I wouldn't be able to pull it off between getting back from HB this past Monday and leaving again next Thursday.
It's only about 3.5 hrs but I'm just not up to a turnaround drive anymore Wink
