Same here!
The Big E is so fun. I used to get a booth there every year for my wine tasting business. It was a ton of work because it runs for 10 days so I don't work it anymore but I do go to it.
Count me in!

Taylor, free concert, outside, in MA, at a country fair-I am so there! w00tbounce  The Big E? More like the Big O Thud

Excellent find Duff!! Highfive

LOL somebody stop me Haha

Restaurant and sports pub, indoor pool and spa. Close to all area
attractions...good rates....Highfive Seriously though, we'd have to
book this quick-Big E is huge! They'll do a group rate for 6 or more
rooms. Triple AAA rate was low too (around $90). There's a package
that includes BigE tix and shuttle from the hotel so we wouldn't even
have to drive over. Hotel is around 10 minutes away.

We could probably do a little leaf peeping after our Taylor peeping
on Sunday Haha

Do you think he'd sing the ever so sappy Weekend In New England?
Would we want him to? lol Rotfl

You are so bad!!!! Smile rofl

Wow! I checked the Big E website last weekend and saw that DAUGHTRY would be there on the opening weekend. I thought it was too much to wish that Taylor would play there. Now he's listed for the closing weekend.

We tried to see Martina McBride the year we went to the Big E. The line had formed before 3 p.m. for the concert, which had a beginning act scheduled for 7 p.m. I was hot and hungry and not a big enough fan to wait and see if we could even get in to the concert area, because the lines were that long at 3:00. If they still do things the same way, it's a very frustrating way to try to see a concert. If we end up going, I will be prepared to camp out all day. There is a lot of good food at the Big E too! The day we went, the news reported they had set a new attendance record. The crowd was unbelievable, and Depends would have been appropriate fair attire. (Dress like an astronaut. LOL! )
Yes....I'm in!!!!
I want to go - I want to go - I want to go!

Yay, Taylor - thanks for playing on a Saturday night!!!

I've done some General Admission fair shows before (not the big E - but local ones). It takes time & dedication but you can be close to the stage if you try hard. We can do it - we're a large group and we can bully. Smile
This is fantastic news,I know where I'm gonna be on Sept,29th.It's just to good to be true.Great way to end the night !
I think we need to 'officially' change the name to the BIG O! Devil

Cute Liz Highfive
I've never been, but I think I'll be going to this one Woohoo ! WOOO!!
the Big E is an incredible adventure all by itself throw in Taylor and Holy S*** ! !
we've worked the Maine building - - manning a tourism booth for our area - - and loved the whole experience - - the Maine Potato Board does a baked potato booth and there is a literal stampede when they open the doors - - never had seen anythng like it - we had been told but it was absolutely insane to see in person - in a good way

the Eastern States Exposition averages 1,000,000 visitors a year and the final weekend is a big block party

count DH and I in for sure and since the high school up here is on harvest break then my son and d-in-law may want to come too and bring the grandkids this time

agree rooms need to be booked ASAP

geeze can you tell I'm excited ? LOL  Grin

Count me in!!!
We can take turns holding each other's places while we take potty breaks & get something to eat, etc...
Why don't we wear the purple Mardi Gras beads so we can tell each other apart from the rest of the peeps?  I didn't get any when I went to Hampton Beach but I'm sure my daughter has some in that mess of a room. Roll Eyes
Anyone else who doesn't have any can prolly get 'em at a party store, or they sell 'em right there at the Big E....errrrr...I mean Big O *lol*. Tongue

I have to tell ya', I'm not crazy about it being a free concert though.  Everyone & their Mutha  tries to get in just 'cause it's free.  It gets crazy AND ugly!!   Lots of line cutting & shoving.  Blech. Sad
