I may be coming with DH or I may bring the whole family and treat the kids to their first Taylor Hicks experience! The Comcast (concert) arena holds 5,500 and there's no way I can start waiting in line at 3 PM for an 8PM show....I just want seats...don't need to be close to the stage.
As it gets closer maybe someone from the NESP can be begged Grin or bribed  Devil into saving me seats?

Keep me posted on the hotel blocks etc!!!  Highfive
I haven't been in at least 7 years....probably 10.Haha

I remember the Maine potato booth; had a yummy potato with great toppings.....

Purple Mardi Gras beads work for me!

What do you mean it gets ugly in line? We should hae a special block of seats just for us.....because we're NESP! anyone agree???

This is just too exciting! Two shows next weekend, RI and now this?
Thud

He sure does love us New Englanders! Highfive
It's going to be fun...it will be late Sept so it shouldn't be too hot and in the end we'll be seeing Taylor! Awesomely awesome (I'm in such a good mood today!).
How cool is this! Outside in the fresh air listening to Taylor Smile Im wondering though is it gen admin or seats ?
Lots of info on Big E  - and don't freak when you click on entertainment - look at the date - makes sense it would be up first plus his isn't free - meaning the venue isn't investing big bucks in bringing him there - so deep breath - hold - exhale - better ? Smile

click on Comcast Arena in the drop down for the full schedule

http://www.thebige.com/fair/index.html

some past headliners for the free Comcast stage include:
Brad Paisley
Carrie Underwood - had forgotten this - she headlined in 2005 and went back last year too I think but as a regular concert ? ?
Destiny's Child
Jessica Simpson
Clay Aiken
Lee Ann Womack
Foreigner
Charlie Daniels
Journey

and since I found this handy contact info am putting it here before I misplace it and we need it

Am I confused? When I clicked on the Comcast Arena his show says "Free" in red letters, then when I clicked on his name the bio said "Free" also in red letters, and in the end of the bio it said "free concert" too.

Taylor is very good to NE. Bet he feels lots of love up here.
Remember when he said most support was in the South? Well, I don't see any southern cluster getting as much attention as we are in NE.

I hope Taylor sells tons of merchandise at the Big E![/size]

It means the show is free with your paid admission to the fair - what a bargain, huh?

Taylor's bio :
Latest Album/Song: Taylor Hicks; "Georgia" and "Heaven Knows." His new release, Heart Full Of Soul, is due out in July 2007.

I think someone boo-booed on this...or I've been missing Georgia everytime I listen to the album. Heart Full Of Soul have an accompanying CD with it that I didn't know about? Yeah, I know, I'm picky. Haha

Taylor's show is free to everyone on the grounds -  CD's is not - have to buy a ticket to get into his show but then can explore the grounds - - kind of "same but different " - - primary being that Taylor has an upfront paycheck - which to my admitedly somewhat biased mind says that they know Taylor will appeal to the vast majority of their event attendees Grin

OK maybe I'm dense.....we pay to get into Big E, and can see Taylor for free? No additional cost for ticket? Don't shoot me but I noticed Daughtery is $38 for ticket....and seating chart was explained.

So is this like general admission or do we get a "ticket" before the show & then go to our seats?

"Taylor has an upfront paycheck " does that mean the people in charge of the Fair pay him to be there like a certain amount regardless of how many go to the show?
========================================

I too keep missing Georgia on that CD!!Haha

yeah...Heart and Soul is a book! and the CD is going to be him reading the book Thud Ya think who ever wrote this could have looked at ONE of the many websites that have that info Roll Eyes

deep breath, deep breath....I'm OK....just happy w00tbounce he's coming to the Big E
