I'm coming down from my high- I had a terrific Meet & Greet with Taylor in Hyannis. He was VERY talkative. I'll describe the whole thing later in the Tour thread, but my news is that he told me that he plans to stop touring, except for maybe a couple of shows, during the fall and concentrate on writing new songs. He said he was following the "Van Morrison" model and withdrawing for awhile because he finds it impossible to write on the bus.
And he said "You can tell everyone that"
Geez....I wish I had that long of a conversation! I was so dumbfounded that all I could do at my M&G was stare and request a close-up picture from the guy with my camera. LOL. Glad to hear he's going to take a break. This will give us all a chance to save money for the next tour!

EJ, sorry we didn't get to meet this time. Nice reporting in on the
latest news!! We'll all be going through severe withdrawals this fall
but I'm glad he'll have some time to himself for a change to
take it all in and write some beautiful new music
Thanks for this Taylor news. He should take a break and especially write new songs! I think he's a gifted writer as well and I'm looking forward to another CD. I hope he gets some nice R & R, he's been really touring like crazy.
Taylor hasn't had more than a week truly to himself for almost two years..
He deserves a break, and if our reward is great new music, it's wonderful news.
A well deserved break.Can you just imagine what he will write now that he has had such experiences on the road! I think we are in for some fantastic music.
It will be nice to have some new Taylor originals on his next CD.

It took me a while, but I did finally find my way here. Y'all do like Southerners here, right? Well, seeing that Tay is a Southerner, too, I expect y'all do!
