I'm sure there will be some fun recaps of these two shows!! Haha
WOOOO!! Got to this one first! Here's my Hyanis recap from TOSP!

I'm bbbaaacccckkkk!!!! for the second recap that is! :: After seeing Taylor and the band the night before (which was totally AMAZING) I prepared myself for a different show, and a different show I got : I also wasn't as good with keeping track of the songs on this night, so bare with me

We had a pre-party in the afternoon, with the NESP group RIGHT across from the Venue : It was really cool to meet some local SP'ers (many of which are also members here :: Hey you all!) and hang out and talk a while. We were leaving to go back home and get ready for the show, and we walk out the front door of the Hotel to Taylor in sound check singing Naked in the Jungle : OMG! So we walk over to the parking lot to listen for a while, and we hear LEVON :: That was THRILLING, as I had never herd that one live before. We walked all around the venue, met some other SP'ers on the journey, and bumped into Brian G : (yes again) for another chat, before we left to change for the show.

We again got back to the venue about 45 minutes before the show, and the same comedian from Cohasset was there : I still don't get this, but whatever...cleaned up his set a bit, and shortened it. We were talking outside during this time with a lot of others, so I didn't know how many people were going to be in there. The venue is the same seating as Cohasset 2300 in the round, and there was DEFINATELY more people there than the previous night...my estimate is about 2100 : Our seats this time were lower than the previous night (like eye level with the stage) and we had 2nd row : on the aisle that Taylor and the band enter on That was really cool, and of course my daughter had the primo aisle seat

Taylor entered with as much vim and vigor as the previous night, as did the band : WOOOO!!! I'll tell you though, it was hotter than hades in there...NO airflow thru the flaps or anything, and it was a bit uncomfortable for us as well as the band. Of course, the lighting was no better than the night before :: so crummy pic's to follow : Here's the set list from my notes and the set list after :

Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu : tags ~ Hey Pockey Way
Heart n Soul : (I'm sure there were tags, I just missed them on my notes)
HOAD : tags ~ Another Brick in the Wall II
Medicated Goo
JTFTW
My Friend
The Deal
HOTYL: tags ~ that Blues stuff I didn't know the names of, but REALLY GOOD
Young Turks (O M G : )
Soul Thing : tags something illegible in my notes
The Maze: tags ~ Crazy Love and Let's get it on
The Right Place :
The Runaround: tags ~ Big Boss Man (and I think the base line for Dirty Water )

Encore : TAKIN' IT TO THE STREETS : (O M E L G !!!! Never herd that live either)

A couple of cool things: Brian did some GREAT Sax solo's this night ; Felix had a drum solo that even HE could not sit down for : Josh and Boogie again were on FIRE (and catching Josh doin' a little dance was cute : ) Loren hit the keyes like I'd NEVER seen before....lots of these times our whole section was going O M G! and Taylor of course was fantastic! : He really did showcase the band on this night, so that was really cool to see : Taylor stopped rotating the stage for the last song, claiming Boogie was about to pass-out (poor baby ) and it just happen to be facing our section when they stopped for the Encore...so we made sure we were all UP AND DANCING right along with them :: That was fun, and they smiled and laughed with us :: I have a small feeling they would have went on longer, had it not been so hot in there

After the show, my daughter asked Chris for a drumstick ~ which of course she got, and I asked for a set list, which they eventually caved and gave to me We headed off to the buses to see if she could get Felix to sign the stick. Taylor came out a little while later in the 'MORE COWBELL" shirt the NESP group had given to him earlier in the day, and shorts : I stood back and watched, and some SP'ers let Kylee right up front... she grabbed my camera and set list and went to town! : Taylor signed the set list for her, and she gushed over him : yea right, she's not a fangirl ~ LOL : ! She was standing next to a irl in a wheelchair, who had obvious severe disability, and chatted with her while they waited for Taylor to come down the line...

***WARNING: GET TISSUES*** this man reduced me to tears, right there on the spot :

As he approached this girl, he leaned over eye level to her, patted her on the knee and said "Hello Dear, how are you today?" (that was it for me: I lost it at that point : ) They chatted for a few minutes about the show, and he asked if she wanted some pictures and she DID! Her Aide was allowed to go in by the buses where Bill was, and take several pictures of Taylor and this girl ... :: He then said "Thank you for coming, and you have a great night" and he hugged her :: Kylee told me later that this girl kissed him : on the cheek (way to go hon good for you!) That had to be the most wonderful thing I've ever witnessed, and I will remember it till the day I die.... anyone around that area that wasn't moved by his kindness in that moment has a black heart.....this also confirmed for me, once again, who Taylor really is... : Good Karma once again Taylor :
We had to wait around a while for Kylee to get her stick signed by Felix, but the look on her face when he did was priceless Fangirl once again There was also another young girl there waiting for Felix and Brian to sign her summer reading book, which they both did at that time (the rest of the band she had already captured, and she even got Bill to sign it too ) There was only about 6 of us there at that time, and Felix and Brian BOTH hugged everyone in sight : GOOD KARMA for you guys too : The perfect end to the perfect weekend

Oh yea, and for confirmation: Caroline was NOT at the concert this night : ....think she left earlier in the afternoon

a copy of what I posted on the Boogie the day after Hyannis:

The Hyannis stage was smaller than the Cohasset stage, Taylor didn't move around quite enough. We'd lose him for a song or two, and then he'd be back. At least my section had the Front of Taylor for HOTYL and The Right Place.

The good thing about the round stage is that when he turns around to make faces at Felix, we get to see the faces!
Since Brian G knew he now has a following we got a few command performances when he was in our area, complete with bows.

The highlight of the day for me was soundcheck. If I had been the cellcert reporter, I would have kept my secret, it would have been worth it just to hear everyone on the cellcert go OMFG!.. but since you all now now -- I was sitting in the hotel parking lot waiting for someone, directly across from the venue, in clear sight of buses.

The band bus had just pulled up, we hadn't seen Taylor get out, my friend had gone back into the hotel to let the others know, then I clearly heard Taylor's voice, so I move out to the boulevard. I make out the words and it's Dont Let Me Down. OMFG. I just sit down in the grass and listen. As far as I can tell it's just the voice and the electric guitar, not a full band. I can't see anything, and I'm not close to really make out the instrumentation, guessing it's Taylor and Josh. It's got a slow sway, like the AI Tour version but quieter instrumentation. The voice is loud, clear and plaintive. I'm in love for the first time, Don't let me down.
No one else is around me. It's about 50 weeks since the last time I heard this live, maybe 10 months since anyone else has. It's always on the top of my fantasy set list. And here it is.

Finally a group comes out of the hotel, and we hear Young Turks, go crawling around the venue, getting kicked out of various nooks and crannies, and then hear the piano intro to Levon. Now we have a mass OMFG. I think it's just Loren and Taylor, and Amy says she thinks so too, but you know how that TIBO can be.

The goon squad tells us Taylor's done singing for now, go away.
This is the coolest thing about this group. We all were in the same
places yet experienced, saw, and heard all different things. With all
the different accounts it all comes together and becomes even better.
Loved the story about Taylor and the girl and the wheelchair.

Margaux, it is so cool that you were outside on a beautiful day alone
hearing your number one request from him. I think if I ever heard The
Fall in that situation I'd go into a total Taylor trance for weeks Thud
Did he only do Young Turks and skip Levon and Don't Let Me Down during the show?

Nice recaps ladies...I love picturing what you saw and heard.
This is a short memeory of Hyannis but I loved when he sang "you've come to the right place" and then said "the massachusetts door is always open" that was cool. Did anyone see when Brian G blasted the security gaurd with his sax right in the guys ear! Priceless Smile

That was a great memory Mary Beth...

Anyone having trouble remembering which night things happened? It all sort of runs together for me...

Yes, that's why I didn't post my on recap!

I loved that Massachusetts reference too Heart

Didn't catch Brian G. doing that so that was awesome to hear.

I never seem to have time to write recaps, but everyone here does it
so well so they're all written down. One of these days I'm doing an
NESP scrapbook and they will come in handy.

A couple of things I really enjoyed...the cars becoming travelling
NESP central with decorations, music, and goodies. That could
easily become a tradition at the right venues. Highfive

Taylor responding to our NESP yell in Cohasset.

New Tayter Tot that is awesome at snagging autographs and a natural for this group. Highfive
