I'll order the koozies tonight if people agree. Open to suggestions
on the wording, but can go with what we've got if okay with all

koozies?
DId I miss something?
Grimsby - you missed Liz's post - can koozies for the band. (Can we get 2007 or '07 on them?)
Linda, the

probably is too "girly"....better for it to look "cool"
except I had no cool ideas
How about these for the band for RI? They could say Modern Whomp
Summer Tour (or any two lines up to 15 letters each) Cheap, but
personal....

Yes...read the post, did not use the link to see the item
Yes. Excellent idea.
I like the koozies.
I'm starting to feel sorry I'll miss the band's party...

I love Oriental Trading. Honestly, I think you can find something for anyone there. Those would be great Liz!
Whomp - blues - soul - funk - jazz - Cajun - swamp - rock - country - calypso
This seems like a lot of 'stuff' to get on a little stool seat...
Am wondering if we shouldn't just stick to New England Soul Patrol around the edge and Modern Whomp for the top.
If we get too creative, it could get pricey, I would think...
I kinda like Amy's back to the basics approach...

Band party? I missed that bit of info.....

Was just trying to get all the influences he's mentioned listed - so would be available when a design was determined - - think there are only four he regularly names with jazz as a runner up
Whomp, Blues, Soul & Funk - - -
guess my thinking was going in this direction
the driving force in Taylor's life is music - - when he says it's all about the music it's not just some cool saying to impress the media - he means it - - so I instinctively went to musical references for an item he will hopefully use when the muses are driving him
the space you are working with isn't all that small actually - - - if the diameter of the seat is 11 - 12 inches - - with an edge height of maybe 1 1/2 inches, 2 " ? ? - - that gives you a circumference of say 35 to 38 inches to play with and lettering that will run +/- 1 inch high - - does that seem in the ballpark ?
if you have an old fashion yardstick handy it will give you a pretty good idea of the circular edge space you
have for lettering - - -
the music genre names would be 18 letters in 4 groups spaced out around the edge - - suggest NESP on the seat in our logo font
NESP - spelled out would be 20 letters in 4 groups spaced out around the edge - - would suggest iust Taylor in a font close to the one on the CD for the top - or just Whomp - - circles always seem to look better with one centered word
also agree with Claudia's point in part - do think our name can be used - but that it needs to be subtle - we don't want anyone to resent us or to be annoyed with Taylor for what they could perceive as preferential treatment - seems silly but bet hard cash it would happen
promise I am shutting up on this now
Well Grimsby - why don't you check and see what the upholstery place has to say. I know nothing about how it's done - how complicated all the lettering could be. Keep us posted!
