Amy has a great idea...Huggy

OK - I'm a pushover Margaux...and probably need to sleep for about 36 hours in order to feel renewed and refreshed but here goes -

the New England states have yet to see an acoustical performance from Taylor, right?

What say we find a very nice stool with personalization and present it to him before the Lincoln show - with a nice note explaining our desire for the acoustic song or two. That way he might do it in Lincoln, Portland or at least Concord...

What does everyone think of this idea?

OK - work comes later right? I had to just check something out...and look what I found.

I wasn't sure if this would be a way to go or if a wooden one would be better? This is what I found first out of the hatch...

Opinions? Suggestions? Tell me to go away and stop bothering you if you'd like...

Some boards call it the "Stool of Sincerity"...perhaps a little creative personalization is in order here.

I also want a t-shirt made - large NESP on the front - back to say "Taylor leads - we follow"
Great idea Amy! Taylor might like the padded seat-more comfortable on his butt! First we look out for his balls, now his butt! We got it covered!!!!

LOL this comment is from Deb D. I'm just moving posts Haha
Love the idea, and love the t-shirt. I would wear that!!!
I love the idea too!! You guys are very imaginative  Highfive  The t-shirt would be pretty cool, I would wear it.
Speaking of riders (those backstage contracts with the "no red M+Ms") here is one someone posted over on TMS.  I imagine Taylor's to be shorter, with better spelling... Fear

I think as long as the guys know a few days ahead, they can warn the venue that they don't need to supply everything.

So who's making the big ol' pot of chicken soup for our boy?  Haha
Mari, the Iggy Pop contract was quite hilarious!
We really should see Taylor's to know what they like...

Meanwhile I just thought of a Concord source for marvelous chocolate things.. almost directly across from the Capitol Center..

Whether or not we coordinate the potluck, sending a care package from this place of cakes for the show and cookies for the bus has my recommendation.
I read or heard something about Taylor's rider...

I think it was at Hampton Beach...tossed salads and bottled water? Does anyone else remember reading that? I thought at the time, gee Taylor, you're really hard to please...LOL

When I see my uncle again, I will ask him about the construction of a stool (length of time it would take him, cost, etc, etc).  He does the most amazing work that I've ever seen.  He's a finish carpenter for Hinckley's Yachts (does the interior work - cabinets, furniture, etc).  I'll check and see if it's a possibility.

And yet another NESP coincidence ! !   Ask your uncle if he knows someone in management with the initials MD - he graduated from high school with me.

Love the idea of a custom stool - wonder what the ideal height would be for someone who is 6'1" - or guess leg length would be the criteria - would be cool if could be truly customized to be a comfortable fit.

There might be a way to save your uncle some time if he would be willing to help with this.  It seems like the base would take the most time to make from scratch - - there are some companies that sell very high quality unfinished furniture - - if we could find a base that we liked then your uncle could do a custom top.  Also the finish on marine woodwork is not only beautiful it is practically indestructible - being able to access that quality staining and sealing would be great.

Maybe the potluck is an idea we have to save like the clam bake?
We could do the modified version and everyone bring goodies from
a gourmet shop in their area so we have a good assortment. Maybe
we could even find some cool healthy snacks?

Amy, I love the idea of the custom wooden stool-let's find out more
about that!! w00tbounce

I do like the idea of the pre-made goodies, probably safer in August! Maybe we should get some baskets, or decorated boxes that we can wrap up all those goodies in.
