Look for the announcement of the winners of our Hearts Full of Soul contest coming very soon!
I have the Taylor-signed books in my hands and will mail them out soon.
Tricia will be working her magic and getting the numbers all set. Liz will be putting together the donation list for Taylor to see. I will get it to him.
We will announce the library/organization donation list and share with you our letter to Random House, thanking them for asking us to participate in this great experience on behalf of Taylor!
Keep checking into NESP for all that is good!

Excellent!
So happy we all had this opportunity to help Taylor.
Thank you to Karen, Liz & Tricia and their team for putting this together for us all

I e-mailed my local library and told them about my plans to donate "Heart Full of Soul" to them, first, before I actually brought the book in. Here is the reply I got from the head of Collection Development, Reference Librarian:
He checked it out apparently-Gotta love those Amazon customer reviews!
"Hi - Sure, if you think it is a book other people would like to read, we
will add it to our collection. Although it doesn't have any "library
journal" reviews, it sure does get good Amazon customer reviews.
Please leave it at the Circulation Desk with my name on it."
Thanks very much for your offer,

Someone at MJ's did find a library review, and it's a fine one

Public Library Review/Recommendation for “Heart Full of Soul”
Hicks, the winner of the fifth season of American Idol last year, is the first idol to publish a memoir. As a child in Alabama, he got his first listen to soul music by way of an Otis Redding record and “a new soulful world opened up.” In prose both humble and self-promotional, Hicks writes of the obstacles he faced having a band and being on the road; but rather than see road blocks, he used the difficulties he encountered and his weaknesses to his advantage. He attributes his success to thinking ahead, self-confidence, determination, and using his imperfections, like gray hair at an early age, to help him stand out. Amidst the life lessons, Hicks shares inspirational advice and music recommendations, which make his book enjoyable even for those who didn’t see him on TV. Good for young adults and older -
Recommended for All Public Libraries.

Good find Margaux, and nice letter Taybea-glad you got a positive
response. I'm going to try to drop mine off this weekend. Have to
