I put some posters in Biddeford Maine, in a couple of nightclubs, a popular family restaurant, a pizza place, and at the La Kermesse festival last week. Local festivals/fairs where everyone goes might be a good idea in some other towns too.
Marketers have to think outside the box. It's not such a terrible idea...just not sure we've got time to put this together now??? Anyone?

Summer camps! Are there any near the venues? Do they have a "night out" for the campers? What better night out than a Taylor concert! Oh....are the venues all ages?

Resorts. Like Red Jacket or beach resorts, time shares, etc. Post flyers in their activities room, near the check in with all the "Things To Do" in the area booklets.

Ok..this one is wild idea w00t Not even sure how anyone would do this but hotel near Big E has package that includes room, Big E admitssion and shuttle. How about hotel in the area having "package" that includes room, concert ticket and transport to & from venue? Would be perfect to market in Boston area to get people up north for weekend.....Hey I gave y'all warning it was a wild one! Haha

If you haven't already guessed I think out of the box - constantly. Smile

OMG Festivals. This is Fourth of July! Hand out flyers at fireworks and picnics. Great idea DebD!! Highfive

I think it would be worth taking an ad out in the Boston Globe (get T's people to pay for it).. Put the ad in around July 15th.. sunday entertainment section or the Travel Section. Get L.L. Bean to throw in some coupons.
You guys are coming up with awesome ideas-maybe Karen
could pass them along to Chakra! While we're supposed to be
helping them, I don't think we should be responsible for doing it all!
We should hit all websites that have lists of local events on them. This would include websites of newspapers, tv stations, radio stations, travel sites, and other local sites. We could also try to get the newspapers to do it in their print version. If we divided up the area between several of us, we could get this done (unless Chalkra has already done it).

Also, how about a press release about his upcoming concert to all local radio, newspaper, and tv stations? We could also try to set up interviews for them with Taylor, but I'm not sure how we would work this - and they ususally want to do this closer to the show date so it might not be something we can do to move ticket sales now.
Karen, do you have flyers designed already for these two shows?

Wasn't his first tour done with Live Nation? Is Chalka & Live Nation the same? Just idol curiosity....has nothing to do with anything at all..Smile
No grimsby they aren't the same...

Sad to say that LiveNation would be kicking major advertising ass right now...

So why did he change from Live Nation to Chalka?

I'm guessing they cost a whole lot less...
