Hanging flyers and posters at record stores is a great idea....Strawberries, Newbury Comics, FYE and more! Smile

Last week I went in search of a Strawberries I knew of up north..  alas it was gone!    There are no more Strawberries in New Hampshire!!  Sad

FYE doesn't have any posters for any shows.

All the Starbucks I've been in have "community bulletin boards".   We could definitely hit every Starbucks from Freeport to southern NH.    I'm sure other coffee/bagel shops do (unfortunately not the Dunkin Donut places..)

What I need now is a poster/flyer about 1/4 the size of the posters we have now, and something I could take to Kinkos to run off copies.

Do you think you could take the poster to Kinkos or Staples and have them reduce it? If I had my posters I would try it, but I don't yet.

Karen,
Here's to better luck with all your gadgets! I will be in Michigan next week visiting (my husband's) relatives...we lived there for 5 years...that's where all my babies were born before we moved to NH! What part of MI were you in?

I am praying that Taylor does not cancel the Concord show....deep down I don't think he will Wink but I hope it sells at least 3/4 of the available seats!

Huggy Andrea
Another wild idea....is there a college near Concord, NH?

OK now y'all through laughing at the poor girl that lives on an island in the middle of the ocean......Haha

Seriously though.....they have student buildings, and don't the students return around mid-August? Also they have summer school too don't they?

How about military barracks? Possible to post flyers there or take out free ad in their Base Newspaper?

Portland, Maine...tourist area...posters at Chamber of Commerce...did
I say that last night....? Sometimes I forget....Roll Eyes
Hi Andrea,
I'm in East Lansing visiting, right near Michigan State. That is so cool that your babies were all born here!

Taylor won't cancel. He won't need to. Heart Have a great time in Michigan.

Grimsby5,
You have such awesome ides. I think those are all good.

Thanks Karen.....I always think outside the box!

I can't make NH show; lobster bake, fireworks on the beach, trade show and cookout that weekend so I'd definately be missed.

However I am working on Portland.....Smile
Have been playing with reducing the poster - unfortunately neither of our copiers can accomodate the full 11 x 17 poster in one pass - so am experimenting with "cut & paste" to get one master on an 8.5 x 11 sheet -

also playing with using part of the poster and then adding my own date / time / place / venue / PortTix phone # information to try and make a flyer that would be affordable in a large enough quantity to matter

have been doing the experimentation in black & white to save the color inks and you know what ? - - doesn't look bad that way - - very dramatic ! !

hopefully the promoter will come up with a flyer version that is less expensive to reproduce but will pursue my own just in case

BTW have used Staples for color copies before when had size issues and can tell you it t'aint cheap  Sad
