I have been working with the promoter of the upcoming shows in Maine and New Hampshire in August and she said ticket sales are slow for Taylor's shows on August 12th in Maine and August 17th in NH.
Out of 1400 seat capacity only 600 tickets have been sold in Portland. About the same for NH.
Soooooo, let's band together and get the word out that Taylor is going to be in Portland and Concord and that it will be a great time! If you get a chance to go to Portland in the summer you will be very happy - it is absolutely beautiful and to be able to see Taylor while you're there! How awesome!

I was so thrilled to hear that Taylor was coming that I got tickets for me, my Mom, and my 9 year old niece. Oh, I hope he gets a good turnout. We love him to pieces. What is wrong with the people of Maine? Get a move on Mainers! I will put the word out the best I can. Well, maybe the people that go can scream real loud and show our support. I hope he doesn't cancel for low attendance.

either under community or events). You go to the main site, look to
the right and click on your state, then area. Then when your area page
comes up, just look to the top left and it says "Place an ad". If each
one of us writes up a fun thing about Taylor coming we should be able
to have it all over the New England states. Plenty of people are on
craigslist every day. Maybe you can post in this thread when you've
got an area covered.

I have been putting posters up in Portland. I just put a ton up yesterday and actually freaked a little girl out. I put one up in a coffee shop and she said what are you doing. I told her I was putting a poster up what to help? sure she said and held the envelope full of posters. I pulled one out and put it up. When I turned around to her I thought she might fall over. I asked her if she was ok? yeah I guess so was all she could say. She wandered off to her Mom and freaked out. She was jumping up and down screaming I want to go I want to GO!
It was funny and yeah her mother seemed just as excited to find out who her daughter was screaming about.

Summer camps! Are there any near the venues? Do they have a "night out" for the campers? What better night out than a Taylor concert! Oh....are the venues all ages?
Resorts. Like Red Jacket or beach resorts, time shares, etc. Post flyers in their activities room, near the check in with all the "Things To Do" in the area booklets.

Not even sure how anyone would do this but hotel near Big E has package that includes room, Big E admitssion and shuttle. How about hotel in the area having "package" that includes room, concert ticket and transport to & from venue? Would be perfect to market in Boston area to get people up north for weekend.....Hey I gave y'all warning it was a wild one!
