There is a thread under NEWS at the Boogie where Griz is listening to her audio CD of Taylor's book....it's 4 hours long! Haha She got it yesterday from Walmart dot com I guess.

She gives away quite a few details in the book....I was too curious so I read the thread but I wanted to warn you guys not to read ANY of the thread if you want to save all of it until you have it in your hot little hands!

Taylor goes into more detail about the darker stuff in his earlier years than I thought he would....he is very open....even mentions when he lost his virginity....God love him!!! Heart Grin
????? He is not a virgin???
Wow, he tells all....
OMG...next Tuesday will not get here soon enough!!!
I am going to wait, I am going to wait, I am going to wait. I need to keep telling myself that.

I can't BELIEVE my darling Tay is not a virgin! My life is shattered... Seriously though, I can't wait to read all the details. And I am excited to know that he has revealed so much about his life.
I wonder how his family and friends feel about him talking about all this for Amercica to read. Like, I wonder if his dad had any objections about Taylor airing his personal life, like...the divorce etc...
My guess is there were releases signed by all his family members, considering some of this stuff involves a sealed court file (usually messy divorces with custody battles are sealed for the protection of the kids). I do remember him saying he and his folks were going through the old photo albums to pick out nekkid baby pictures... I'm hoping for that one we all have, the bath in the kitchen sink!
It should definitely be an interesting read. I don't know...think I'll read and then listen to the audio CD afterwards.
It may be hard for his parents to read/hear people talk about but EVERY family I know has skeletons and I give Taylor credit for not sugar coating things....things that were hard and ugly and REAL in his past. Everything that happened had an impact on who he is today and he is very successful and happy... perhaps for the first time. He must want to inspire other young people ( who may feel their lives/families suck) that it will get better with faith and determination and guts and hard work.

I will be away when you are all reading the book....I will have to play catch up and not read all the threads/discussions before I get home and get my copy! Can't wait! Smile
OK.....I'm still new at this board so please take that into consideration when I ask this......

re: donating books in our book promotion drive....

Do we think this book is going to be age appropriate for school libraries?

Any input is greatly appreciated.....and if I've offended I apoloigze.
