Is anyone up for writing a harmonica theme song? Shouldn't Taylor and Loren be working on this during their off hours?

If you make a documentary about harmonicas, you need a harmonica theme song.

Houston filmmakers Todd Slobin and Marc Lempert have interviewed and recorded harmonica greats and celebrity enthusiasts for Pocket Full of Soul: The Harmonica Documentary, including Clint Black, John Popper from Blues Traveler, comedian Robert Klein, Huey Lewis, Taylor Hicks of American Idol, James Cotton and Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

They hope to finish the film by the end of summer but are still looking for their own harmonica-powered song, with the words Pocket Full of Soul in the lyrics, to put in the movie.

"We thought it would be a good idea to allow people to put their music in our film in one way or another," said Slobin, a Houston lawyer and one of the film's producers.

In addition to referencing the film's title, the song must be harp-heavy and shorter than five minutes.

The winner, or winners, as picked by Slobin and Lempert, will be included in the finished movie, which they hope to put on the festival circuit later this year.

Let me get out my notebook and pencil right now...see what I can come up with.   Haha

Oh, and I see Taylor's started hyphenating: Taylor Hicks-of-American-Idol

I hope he doesn't have to start autographing that way...but it might mean a little more face time with him.

That was a really lame joke, I know...I'm off to go eat some watermelon now.
Do you have to be a harmonica player yourself to enter a song? that's kinda how it sounded in the rules for entry.
Does anyone else find the name of this project intriguing ?  especially given the relatively close timing of release dates ?

am absolutly thrilled that Taylor is part of this project - - I truly believe recognition as a serious musician is what he wants the most [just watch his face when he is sitting in with established artists ] - - and what will ultimately assure him " a place at the table " as a long term career artist

Found this it was in the Houston paper today.

I loved that Tobacco Road number...best thing AI ever did with a group of singers IMO.
I suppose I could write a song, but I don't know the first thing about harmonica or how to write for it. I think it even has its own style of tablature. Too bad Taylor doesn't have the time to come over and write with me... Haha
