I was thinking we could all print out info on the venues we'd like to see Taylor perform at, put together a packet, and someone could hand it
to him at a Meet and Greet. I read he wants to play more fairs,etc.
and is putting together another schedule-WoooHooo! Since we never
get anywhere with the publicist or the venues, let's give the info directly to Taylor!

The Big E would be good. I'm going to print out Barnstable Fair,
Indian Ranch, and Melody Tent. I know Peggy had some good NH
ones too. If we give him enough good ones, he's bound to pick at
least one
Brooklyn or Hebron Fairs in CT. I don't get up that way much, but I'd make an effort to head into cow territory for Taylor. Or the El 'n Gee in New London... it's only five minutes from me... mmm...
New Hampshire doesn't have any headliner fairs.
He could play at Meadowbrook in Gilford anyway come August, a nice outdoor venue.
I don't have much knowledge of Maine fairs except for the Blue Hill & Bangor fairs and I doubt he would play either one of these (except of course, I have seen Faith Hill, Lorrie Morgan, Diamond Rio, Patti Loveless play before they were really huge). There are other fairs in the southern part of the state but they usually have country artists and of course, the Fryeburg Fair near the NH state line. Other than that...I got nothing. I'll have to think on this for a bit!
Linda had a great idea to do a binder/scrapbook for Taylor from all of
us. You can include a page from you, and any info on venues in your
area that you think would be good for Taylor to book. I'm just going to
print out the websites so he'll have contact info,etc. If you don't have
time to do a page, but want to give venue suggestions just post them
here and I'll print them out for you. If you're not going to Hampton, just
mail me the page in a clear page saver and we'll be sure to include it.
Otherwise, bring the page to the Happy Clam and we'll compile it there
over drinks
OK, cool idea ! So we put it in a clear sheet protector.. the kind with holes to go in a 3 ring binder?
Yes Duff, that works great. Then we just add them to the binder
quickly and give it to him in Hampton. I've already got Indian Ranch,
Cape Cod Melody Tent, Barnstable Fair, Big E, Maine Lobster Festival,Meadowbrook. Hopefully people will make him some personal
pages as well so it's more special. Main thing is to get him back
here SOON!!!
I am going to attempt to make a personal page. Scrapbooking is not really my thing, but I will put together something simple. Hope others do too!
