From the illustrious boogie board - a fabulous idea to listen in on the Book Reading and not feel guilty because you haven't sent money into KidOne.

Last week I posed the question of whether or not The Boogie would be willing (as a group) to make a donation to KidOne so we could do a cellcert from the bookreading. Several people expressed positive interest. I still haven't heard from K@ren about it, but since we are down to just under two weeks I am going ahead with this. If we can raise a good amount of money, I don't anticipate any problems.
What's a good amount of money, you may ask? Well, I'm hoping to drum up enough interest on The Board to get at least the same amount of listeners that we average for a regular cellcert (it hovers around 90). If we could get $5 from 90 people, that would be $450 for Kid One. If we could get $10 - that number jumps to $900. I would LOVE to shoot for this number as a minimum.
That said, I don't want to dictate a set minimum per person because I know that even $5 for some folks is too much to spare (I have been there, believe me). I would like to encourage everyone to give whatever they are comfortable with - whether that is a single dollar or a hundred.
So what do you say, Boogie Board? Shall we band together and raise some bucks for Kid One?
