We've been asked several questions about the Up Close and Personal event. We're trying to get the information out as quickly as possible and to help spread the word, we're going to post these questions and answers here.
Q. Are cameras allowed at the event?
A. Cameras are going to be allowed during the program as long as there is no flash. This is a different kind of program and not a concert, so we would ask you to be considerate of others and not use a flash. This is a "Taylor Talk Show" and if flashes are going off during the presentation, it will be distracting for guests as well as Taylor. If someone is using flash, you might want to politely ask them to turn it off.
Q. What is the dress code?
A. This will be July in Alabama and it will be hot. Dress should be respectable but comfortable. The Steel Urban Lounge is a nice facility so dress accordingly. Diamonds and minks might be a bit much, but blown out sneakers and t-shirts with holes and stains might need to be rethought too. Find something in between and you should be just fine.
Q. How will we ask Taylor questions?
A. As you enter the Boutwell, there will be a Question Booth in the lobby. A volunteer will be there to take all submitted questions. Think of some good ones!
Q. Can we buy more books?
A. Yes, the BookSmith will be at the Boutwell selling more books.
Q. Will there be souvenir items for sale?
A. Yes, KOPS will have a booth and will be selling T-shirts and buttons as well as taking orders for the KOPS kid's cookbook for Kid One. All sales go to benefit Kid One! We will also have 3 special drawings for some fabulous prizes. Keep checking back here or on the KOPS site for further information.
There will also be concessions available. Yum!
Q. Is the After Party for VIP Ticket holders only?
A. No, the After Party at the Steel Urban Lounge is for everyone . Come on in, let's have a blast.
Q. Can people under 21 attend the after party?
A. So sorry to say, Steel Urban Lounge is a bar and there will be alcohol served. Because of liquor laws, everyone must be 21 and over and have valid ID.
Q. Is there a cover charge?
A. Yes, there will be a $10 cover charge.
