The album Taylor "sideswiped" from a friend's house was  The Best of Otis Redding, from 1972,

apparently it was never reissued as a CD - - there is one close to the same name but not the exact same tracks

so went running to Rhapsody in hopes they'd have it available to play but nope - - just the listing - - assume I'll be able to build a playlist from the other albums though when I have a little time - - have never tried but think I can make it public - - can't get to it for a while - - sorry - - maybe someone else is a subscriber and has some time ? ? ? ?

UPDATE - - THERE IS NOW A LINK IN POST # 3  TO HEAR A RECREATION OF THIS ALBUM

here's the list

That sooo needs to be a cd, or at least downloadable mp3s! I loooove Otis!
OK I have never tried to create a public playlist before on Rhapsody much less tried to link anyone to it so I hope it works for everyone
I found an active version of all the songs on the original album except for A Change Is Going To Come - - -
in order to complete the set I substituted one by Sam Cooke - - seemed appropriate considering Taylor's connection to it and don't think Mr. Otis would mind having Sam sit in with him do you ?

this is what a little boy heard that day - - - - - -

you should be able to listen to all 25 tracks of this mock up album once but it may not work again from the same computer - - - -
every 30 days you get another 25 free listens and then are reduced to teasers like they do on sites like Amazon - - I bought the unlimited listens package quite a while ago and not sure I could stand to be without it now.
This is going to sound like a crazy question - and probably Taylor has this in his iPod already...

But what about burning these songs onto a CD in this very order?

Silly?
(coming from the person that has no CD burning capability - ancient dinosaur computer & dial-up)

I did find these - http://www.ccmusic.com/search.cfm?search...ype=artist

Taylor - please do I've Got Dreams to Remember - it would be a slice of heaven on earth.

several people collaborated on the boogie to recreate the album and were able to find all of the songs - even O.R.'s version of A Change Is Going to Come

for those who don't "boogie" this is a link to download the entire album The Best of Otis Redding,1972 in a zip file - - many thanks to Jan

Ok. I have put the entire album as recreated by the boogieboard on sendspace in a zip file. I included the track list. All tracks are numbered and in mp3 format. I burned them to a CD as a test so they should be golden.

Amy - that site you found is a great one-stop-shopping place for Otis Redding - too bad neither of the 2 Very Best versions are the same track list as The Best Of - - - Sad

Who wants to volunteer to burn that CD for me? Grin
