I hate work too,we miss out on all the good stuff ! I'll search You Tube and Go Fish, maybe they will have the video of it! Sounds like it was a great performance, thanks for the recaps everyone.I'm off to search !!
He was fantastic! I think both the ladies were a little giddy over him. He looked great, and gave another kick butt interview. I sat here with a silly grin on my face, totally blocking everyone and everything out, until after it was over, and I felt someone staring at me! They walked away saying something about "It's Taylor, we lost her". (I just asked what they said)
snuck home a little early.. yes this was very nice to have a "stool" performance. It will impress casual viewers.
I'll have to think about the "in the zone" versus "sing to the camera" discussion.. maybe watch a few more times before deciding.
I wonder if he's getting "TV coaching" from CL...

Cassie and I talked about that exact thing last night after watching the GMA interview. There was something a little different and we both said that exact thing at the very same time!
Well if he is, he's been taking notes! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
That was an awesome performance he has the most amazing voice I have ever heard !
I Tivo'd The View this AM and have only watched it once but WOW!!!!
I was happy that Sherri and Elisabeth interviewed Taylor and it was obvious, if not before he sang....after he nailed The Right Place, that Sherri is a big fan!
I was pleasantly surprised to see Loren alone at the piano and I think Taylor was concentrating on the camera, looking into it most of the time and smiling a bit while singing...I kept waiting for him to close his eyes and look introspective but he did not and you know what? I LIKED IT. By doing it the way he did he really connected more with the television audience yet still sang TRP tenderly and soulfully and beautifully in tune! The harp was very sexy (isn't it always?) and the black and white image of Taylor projected onto the floor was cool!
Taylor's voice was sooooo amazing today that I actually teared up when it was over...I surprised myself with that one!
It was a good interview and great vocal. I love the big fan-girly smile Sherri had on her face the whole time. I could just feel the thrill she must have felt when he put his hand on her back a couple times. Okay, maybe I'm just projecting.....but I bet I'm right! I get a kick out of seeing him squirm on the stool during interviews, like he can't sit still. Loved the shirt on him! It did seem odd to see him smiling so much into the camera during the song since we're more used to seeing him wrapped up in the music. The camera sure does love him, though.
. . . . . and the black and white image of Taylor projected onto the floor was cool!

Didn't notice the floor until the third time - and it was Very cool - think someone in production at The View is a fan ?
Andrea, I did too and didn't even realize it until his segment was over - was just so proud of him - - and so happy to see him being treated the way he should be two days in a row - - gawd, I am such a ridiculous mother hen ! !
After it was over, I said to my sister, "They could just make a music video out of that performance!" What a great performance! Can't he do it again tomorrow?
Oh - and when he started playing the harp - I was holding my niece and she was just sort of looking all around the room (as 5 month old babies will do). When that soulful harp started her attention was directly diverted to the television set. I said, "See, she knows good stuff when she hears it." But I too missed the floor and my sister had to rewind the Tivo so I could see it. Very cool stuff!!!
