CN8 is a Comcast Cable exclusive station.  I didn't realize they have a morning news show, but they do, and they just interviewed Taylor.  My DVR didn't want to work this morning, so here's my summary, typing as I listened, so I missed a few words here and there...  The interviewer was a pleasant young woman who seemed to enjoy herself.

CN8 interview:
Good morning your soulness.
I’m doing great.

Congratulations, on a successful year on tour, debut album, it’s gotta be an incredible journey.
Every day I wake up and pinch myself.  I’m pretty happy.

HFOS.. what made you want to write?
A lot of stories that have led me up to this point, finding your own voice and beating the odds, what I was up against.  I wanted to have a positive message.

What’s some of the journey for you, what did you learn from writing?
It’s very therapeutic, kept me grounded, take so many life experiences on the road, not only apply to music, but to every day life.  My parents allowed me to explore my dream, but stay practical at the same time.

I got to meet the president, it was really cool.  People fighting for freedom, that has allowed me to go on American Idol and write this book.  Some of the people I’m met along the way, it’s been great.

You’ve been criticized for post-Idol comments.  Any regrets?
It depends on how comments are spun.  I’ve said all along, if it wasn’t for the show, I wouldn’t be able to have this great success.  It’s apparent I’m a very big fan of the show.

Jordin?
She’s a great entertainer, natural ability to entertain.  Apparent in last final episodes.

Can you keep that momentum up? (mentions Kelly Clarkson “redoing” her career)  Will you burn out?
There are peaks and valleys in entertainment business.  Stay true to who you are as an artist, keep artistic integrity intact, then that will carry you through, and you fans.

I have you in my CD player, you’re in great company.
I appreciate that very much.  Thank you for having me.
Thank you!
Huggy

I must have wrong chanel on TV....long story but set VCR, taped, not sure what....something is wrong with TV/VCR set up so sound must be very LOUD to record anything.....so we were shouting over TV this morning...Roll Eyes
Thanks Margaux - - short but decent interview !

Guys two words - - satellite receivers  Grin

can not imagine ever going back to fighting with a external recording device except to burn what I've saved - -
son ran dual sateliite and digital cable for a trial offer period - didn't even take the full time before he called  the cable company to make it go away   Smile - - however will admit you are less likely to lose reception during heavy rain or snow storms - -
I've heard the satellites are great, but I'm not sure the landlord would be thrilled.

The DVR is built into the computer, and my computer's hooked up to the cable. As long as the little infrared dongle is taped to the cable box, all is generally well. GMA and the View went without a hitch. The only downer is that I don't care to leave the computer on and unattended when there are T-storms in the forecast.

But at 6:55 this morning, the program to run the DVR didn't want to load, and I was not in the mood for a reboot since I was able to watch it live.

Grimsby -- I was a bit confused, the Channel is called CN8, but it was Channel 3 on my cable lineup.. Wouldn't you think that if Comcast sets up the cable lineup, they could put CN8 on Channel 8? no that would be too obvious...
Boy am I feeling tech challenged after reading this thread. Probably
because before Taylor I never really had the desire to save anything
from TV (tv to me is mindless escape and sitcoms and not thinking
too hard Haha) Maybe one of these days I'll have a TV with all the
bells and whistles so I know what the hell you're all talking about Woohoo

Thanks Margaux for the interview-sounded short, but good (and boy,
you must be a fast typist) Heart Good morning your soulness Haha
