I am not sure if anyone will really "get" this... but I was blown away by "The View". I never watch/tape the show so had no idea who the other guest would be !!

ALAN ALDA ! Some of you may know I am a huge fan.. the only two people I have ever really been fans of (have their 8x10 glossy, watch everthing ever produced by each - I have stacks of Alan Alda movies- bought their books) are Alan Alda and Taylor Hicks. I don't follow Alan Alda like I used to so I was not aware he would be a guest on the show. It was really amazing to see them both on the same show !!

And yes, Taylor's performance was incredible. I so would have loved for he and Alan Alda to sit and visit, but I guess the format of the show is not like that.
Don't you love coincidences like that? Someday, I'm hoping for my "perfect storm" of Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, and Taylor. But I'd probably just die and not get to enjoy it!

Duff - there's always the green room - maybe they did have a chance to talk Smile

and I definitely "get" it - - remember when Taylor was on the AOL site with three performances ?
one day I roamed back over and he had finally been relegated to the second spot - was a bit bummed then realized who the new artist was - Neil Diamond ! !
now that happens to be the only other person I would even remotely describe myself as having been a fan of - - he caught my attention with I Am and kept it until about the 685637497058 time Sweet Caroline blarred from my radio - never made it all the way to "fan" - - still like his music though and bought the new CD - -  was interesting - his "older voice" suits him I think
and definitely did have a  "cosmic connection"  moment - LOL

ETA:  when you guys see my hubby at the Big E ask him how one goes about breaking a vinyl LP - yes it was a Neil Diamond one - me literally falling down laughing did Not improve his mood btw  Rotfl

I was not only hoping Taylor and Alan Alda got a chance to chat during the View, but that during GMA, Taylor got to swap dance moves with John Travolta!
Like that "Perfect Storm" description...

I think mine would be Taylor, Craig Ferguson Haha, and Rob Lowe
Thud or maybe a little Tom Selleck and Mel Gibson...so many men,
so hard to choose Rotfl

Taylor and Travolta could come up with some real interesting moves
between the two of them Dancer

Back to the original post-Duff, you must have been thrilled and that
probably did seem like an unlikely combo...glad you got to see it-
I haven't even watched the clips yet-no time Roll Eyes
I'd love to see Taylor and Andre Agassi on the same show. Both perform with their heart and soul, just in different venues and ways.
IDuff.....I love Alan Alda too ,it's not often that you get two treats at once,it was a lucky day ! My dream would be to see Taylor and Gerard Butler from( Phanthom Of The Opera ) together one day. That might do me in,but what a way to go !!
Since my only prior musical obsession was Garth Brooks, I gotta go with Taylor & Garth hooking up and doing something together...

With maybe a little Matt Damon on the side...Devil

Haha
