I know many of you are done with Taylor's book, maybe having read it 2 or 3 times. Many of us have moved on to another, much anticipated book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.

At the request of my lovely daughter, who loves Harry as much as she loves Taylor, I'm starting a thread to discuss this last book in the series. I have not had the opportunity to get my hands on the book yet. But, at the rate Cassie is going, I will have it in my hands by Tuesday night! Grin

Feel free to start the discussion without me, I will be along eventually!

Smile
I just started reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows last night, but, I would love to join in on the discussion when I'm done with it. : )
I love this idea! I have read aloud all of the previous HP books to my family, and now we just started on the new one. I do most of the reading, so my eyes and voice get strained because my son is like-"keep going"! (he's 18)
I love these stories, but it's hard to keep all the different characters straight!

When I went to Borders to pick up my reserved copy, there was a line and a lot of activity over this one book!
No other book has been so sought after has it? Other than the Holy Bible!
I'm about halfway through, so I'll join in once I'm done... how long shall we maintain the NO SPOILERS ban?
No worries about spoilers from me! Smile

I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies...definitely not my cup of tea.
Well, Cassie finished today. A day earlier than I anticipated. I now have the book in my hot little hands but, it's going to take me forever to read because, well, I have a lot more on my plate than young Cassie does.

Cassie feels that maybe detailed discussion should be held off until a week from the release date. So basically, no spoilers till then.
I've only read 166 pages, so... yeah, by Saturday I should be good. And if I'm not done, I won't pop in til I am!

Is it safe to crack jokes about the Malfoys being upset that Voldemort leaves wet towels on the bathroom floor and eats all the Bugles and squirt cheese? Terrible houseguest... Haha

I pre-ordered it from Amazon, and they promised it on day of release, which it did... Woohoo

I have to admit that I was REALLY BAD, as my Mom knew that as soon as that got into my hands, do not expect to hear from me until it is done... Smile

6 hours later, the book is completed... Fear

I just finished reading it for the second time, and took MUCH more time to read it, and it is STILL a PHENOMENAL book... Thud

But I am sad that it is all over now! Sad

Trust me, I am not going to say a WORD about it, until I see more people posting here... Highfive
I'm kind of sad that it's over, but I think she left it open for a sequel (or a sequel series, or a Saturday morning cartoon or something!) don't you?  I read an article that said it sounds like "Hogwarts: The Next Generation" and they could show it on The N.  Haha  Then my sister and I really would have to get digital cable!  (She's going through Degrassi withdrawals since school ended and she moved back here.)

So, how far along is everyone?  How many of us are finished?

How about I start a topic for discussion: What's everyone's favorite line?

Mine: "... the fact remains he can move faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo when he wants to..."  Rotfl
