I guess I need to vent or ask for inspiration/advice.

I posted about this hat in another place so forgive me if you've already heard the story. I've had one M&G with Taylor in HB and put serious thought into what I gave him....wanted it to be unique. Weeks ago I picked out a Life Is Good black hat with a white acoustic guitar and the LIG logo on the brim...I was going to buy it and save it in case I won a M&G for Concord. Another fan (with good taste ) gave him the very same hat and he has been photographed in several cities, at M&Gs (including the clown nose M&G), and at the bus wearing said hat! He must like it and/or the company message "Do what you like. Like what you do."
I thought that maybe I should buy him a T-shirt with the same design and I found one at the mall....dark blue with the same white acoustic guitar and I almost bought it but then decided to wait and see if the coveted M&G e-mail comes in the next three weeks. Last night I saw a photo of Taylor on the Boogie from a very recent show (?Elkhar Fair) wearing a new white LIG shirt with a blue acoustic guitar during the encore! Dang....there goes my second idea!
There was a time when I thought I'd never give him a hat or a T-shirt because he gets so many but at the UpClose & Personal event a fan asked him about favorites gifts and he said he likes them all....he likes the SHIRTS! lol!
After all this I may not even win a M&G so it will be a moot point, but I love the Life Is Good stuff.....apparently Taylor does too.

Hey Segar don't be so hard on yourself,LIF has all kinds of other stuff. Ask them to see a catalog I think I've seen a beer cozy, he likes beer.Or go on-line. besides how many tee-shirts can one guy have?Hope this helped a little.Get him a long sleeve one he'll love it.

I love that Life Is Good line too-so upbeat and fun. You do have good
taste (I think the LIG golf shirt is the one we gave him in Cohasset?)
I'd just choose a more unusual item, Lisa had a good suggestion re
long sleeved tee. Isn't shopping for Taylor fun?

Andrea! There are pajama bottoms with that same design. I saw them at Cool as a Moose in Freeport over the weekend. I almost bought them but refrained...

awww.. it IS frustrating, the whole gift thing. I had a fun and funny gift for him in Hampton Beach and would have loved to explain it but the music was so loud at the M&G I shoved the card for the Happy Clam at him and screamed we'd love to see him there and then had him sign the winning mullet for Tom and try to shout what it was... My memory of him was with his hand to his ear trying to hear what I was saying .... and him saying "can we turn the music down?"

I enjoy giving gifts that I think/hope the recipient will genuinely like and USE! Doesn't it feel good to SEE your gift on someone or to see them using it?

The Life Is Good pajama bottoms are a great idea and I briefly considered it but was afraid to get the wrong size. Buying Taylor a T-shirt is pretty easy but buying him pants....well ....oh, excuse me........oh, yes....pants for Taylor to lounge/sleep in.... I would guess a size Large.

Yes - we tried to find a large in them but they only had Medium & XL. I think a Large would be fine to fit that frame.

Earlier this year I was going to get him a long sleeve LIG tshirt that had the guy sitting on a stool playing an acoustic guitar. Then I didn't get a M&G so I didn't buy it. I think he would like that one, if it is still available somewhere.

I was at that same M&G in Hampton, and the music was so frickin' LOUD! I couldn't hear him and he couldn't hear me. It seemed to make him very tense, stressed and hyper!
At least I still got a pic of he and I together, but that loud music.....
