Welcome Stephen!! Wink Nice that you stopped by and included NESP!Don't be a stranger and post often-we even have a
section reserved for you guys to stop in and say "hello" Huggy

If you look on HQ, awhile back I started a thread for member suggestions on improving the HQ site-thought it would be neat for
people to put positive ideas that they would like to see and there
were lots of responses. That may help you specifically re HQ
improvements.

Everyone here has already come up with good suggestions.
More blogs w00tbounce  Those seem to be a favorite with everyone.
They don't even have to be "fancy". Taylor can say "I had Wheaties
for breakfast this morning" and we'd like it Rotfl

Answering fan questions also very popular, and probably easy to do.
It could just be an HQ feature and he could pick 5 a week or something. Don't worry, we have enough questions to last a really
long time w00t

Update pictures once in awhile and please include some of Taylor smiling Smile  It seems like his official promo pictures are always serious...

Maybe add a "Meet the crew" section somewhere with info on his
current band members & crew, their backgrounds, etc. Taylor picks some great people and many fans have met them and are interested
in hearing more.

Have the mods interact more with HQ-give them a name instead of
generic Admin7. People want to feel a sense of community and want
to feel like someone is there to answer their questions. Have them
moderate for content a little more. People expect a paid fan site to
be positive and not crazy or negative w00t

Maybe create a block of seats for each show (best seats of course)
where HQ members can sit together? It would be really fun to know
you were sitting with fellow fans in super seats!! Huggy That would
be an excellent benefit of joining HQ.

Thanks again Stephen and we'll see you in a week! Woohoo:woohoo:

P.S. It is pretty hard to offend this group!! Liz
I am so partial to Taylor's audio blogs and miss them the most from GC. I've downloaded them all to my iPod but would love some new ones. Please return the audioblogs to us!

Everyone in NESP is wonderful! I'm so proud to be part of this group!
Stephen,

I'm so glad you posted here looking for input. I wish I had gotten a chance to respond to you sooner, but I was pretty much away from my computer all weekend.

But, from what I have read, I think all of my friends here have done a wonderful job stating what we would all like to see. I would take these women seriously, You are not going to find a more intelligent, creative, generous and dedicated group of fans anywhere on the web. They make me very proud to run this site.

I would love the opportunity to speak with you in person some time.

First of all, thank you guys so much for all the great ideas and input. I'm going to be running through a lot of this with Taylor and shortly, you should be seeing some changes for the better. For now, hang in there, and know that we are going to make it better for you lovely people that take such good care of us with all your support. I'll be back from time to time to hang out and say hi as well. Until then....

Tricia - PM me and we can figure something out. Smile

Stephen,
we have met a few times and if you could put a face (and silver hair) to this board name I think you'd remember that I am neither quiet nor shy  - - Grin
but had nothing to add to all the great thoughts and ideas so didn't jump in - -

am doing so now because I wanted to tell everyone who hasn't yet had the pleasure of meeting Stephen that Taylor could not have picked a better "ambassador "   both to be in the midst of all the fans who visit the merchandise table - - -  and to be the liason for this information gathering process
he seems very committed to Taylor which is probably one of the things we as dedicated supporters pick up on when we first meet him  - - I instinctively liked him very much the first time I met him [employer radar at work there] and have since talked with him in Boston, HB, Cohasset and Hyannis - -  he is always smiling, friendly, open to ideas and will answer appropriate questions - - like explaining to LindaT and I why there wasn't a lot of merchandise at the Cape shows   Tongue:

almost afraid to start a stampede here - - but meet Stephen if you have a chance folks - guarantee you'll have a smile on your face when you walk away because his is infectious Grin

find I do have one pie-in-the-sky wish after all  - -

the wish would be for a music blog much like early GC to somehow exist within the walls of the HQ - -
I miss my "classroom" very much - -

I truly believe that it was a major factor in my - and I believe many others - becoming as dedicated as I am to supporting Taylor and his music
there is an excellent new blog site and I do not want to take away from them in any way  - - but my sense is that if there were an easily accessed - frequently updated blog on music within THHQ itself - it would be read by people who don't have the time or perhaps the inclination to wander to multiple sites - - and IMHO the more people know about the roots of Taylor's musical history the more interested they will be in seeing where he takes us next - -

outline of a wish

>  a knowledgeable writer would do a new blog at least 3 times a week - - preferably daily or every other day or could be flexible too I suppose -  just as long as it is fairly often

>   actual discussion of the information could probably be handled by a thread if having a comments section isn't feasible - - do prefer the flow of a blog but would take whatever I could get

>   because of Taylor's musical roots there is a virtually never ending supply of artists and topics to be covered  but it might be an added incentive for people to check in if there was a chance for the members of THHQ to ask questions and / or make suggestions for topics / or maybe even occasionally submit a blog - - -
ideally Taylor would answer some music based  Qs himself - even if through the blogger

>   finally - however the discussion section is handled have moderators who know a little about how music conversations should  evolve and are willing to participate - - them being visible might help some people maintain the atmosphere of debate - - and give the mods the power to do some wrist slapping if needed - - music should be shared and enjoyed not fought over

just a thought  Smile
you are incredibly sweet and kind. thanks for the nice words...

Hi Stephen,

You have come to the right place here! NESP is an awesome group of truly dedicated supporters of Taylor's music. Taylor is very familiar with our group as I have met with him at each New England show this year and told him about our projects, each one designed around his N.E. stops. (Wait till you see what we have in store this coming week!)

I have been doing Marketing, PR and Media Relations for NESP since the beginning of this site and it has been a tremendous priveledge to work with such a great group and at the same time, help Taylor's career. I would love to share marketing ideas with you at some point.

I look forward to meeting you soon! Cool

There have been a lot of great ideas on this thread, and I heartily agree with them all. In addition to these, I think it would be great to have more pictures and videos on the HQ site. And maybe a place where fans can post the pictures they take of Taylor (a photo album so to speak) and to post videos that would be easy to view and download. Maybe every once in a while we could vote for our favorite pictures that are posted and the winner could receive a small award (maybe a printout of their picture signed by Taylor).

I also think the ticketing people could be more responsive to those who purchase tickets through them. I contacted them recently via email with a question regarding meet and greets and got the runaround. Otherwise, I think the ability to purchase tickets in advance and get good seats (which I always have through the HQ) has been great.

And if you ever want to talk marketing, count me in. I've been doing it for too many years to admit and would love to share some ideas!
Deb is a great marketer with some great ideas.  You know, if Taylor's hiring, she's your woman!Highfive
