First of all, THANKS for coming to NESP for advice. That is cool that we are so well regarded !

Let me jump in with a few suggestions.
1. Get rid of the black background. It is hard to read.
2. Put fresh stuff on there.. sorry.. but don't post a blog if you cannot put a new one up soon. It makes the website look forlorn to have old news sitting there day after day. Keep it fresh, not stale.
3.Interaction. It does not have to be a "live" chat. That is not a good idea IMO because people mess up their day to be online (cancel appointments, stay home from work, etc) and then get upset if it does not work. Just post some answers to e-mail questions sent to a particular address or something along those lines would be fine.
4. Myspace is OK, but don't forget if people are paying $25 per yr. to the HQ.. well, they should get something for the $25. First crack at tickets is good, but maybe other stuff, like unique photos or some first hand news should go to the HQ.

OK.. that is my 2 cents. Thanks again for asking !

Duff in Vermont

I ditto everything Duff said. The site is missing the personal touches we appreciated so much at Gray's. Also, at least half the time the official site won't even load for me. I'm on high-speed broadband, and having the same problem on Firefox and Windows IE.

It was nice meeting you after the concert in Portland, Stephen. I love my new periwinkle(?) tee. V-neck tees, short- and long-sleeved, would be big sellers too. Keep up the good work!

Hey Stephen!

How about for HQ members "win a phone call from Taylor"! Now that would be a contest we'd all want in on!

I know I know it won't happen but it was worth a try!  LOL

I agree keep things up to date and fresh on the site to keep us interested.  If he needs someone to jot down his blog let me know!  LOL  w00tbounceThud

Gina
Will stop buy and say hello in Concord after my M&G.

I totally support this suggestion! We'd all go through hoops to win a phone call from Taylor!

Liz,

Is this so you don't have to fix the one you made? Haha

You guys are so creative!! Great ideas from all of you.

Stephen,

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, but it sounds as though you're a great guy and I'm sure you're going to do an awesome job by taking these considerations to heart.

One suggestion that I have for the MYSPACE site....try to put a block on the spam comments that get added. Maybe make it so that the comments have to be approved? I don't know if that would be too much work, but it would get rid of those crude messages that are sometimes left. I hate having to scroll through all that junk!

As it was mentioned earlier, I've also heard a few people comment on how disappointed they are at the lack of "packages" going out to those who joined THHQ. Glad to hear that it's being fixed. My question is, are they going to go out to those existing members that have joined this year that never received them or just new members and those that are renewing? I don't renew until next year! I don't think I can wait that long!Sad

Well, I guess that's it. Hope to see you in September at the Big E!

Angela aka AGMickey
LOL Angela re the Stuffed Taylor. I'm trying to find someone to make
a better version of the idea Haha

This isn't merchandise stuff, but if you're talking to Taylor....

It would be great if Taylor mentioned at the end of his shows the
next place he's performing. A lot of people at each venue ask us that
and many may want to go to a second show once they've been
"Taylorized" Highfive

I also think the audience would love to hear more about Taylor's
connection with Ray-the bobble head, background on the Right Place,
etc. Whenever people ask us why the bobble head is there they
seem really interested in the story Huggy
Stephen,

If you are still checking in for ideas, I have one but it isn't about the websites. You have a nice selection of merchandise now but I noticed something that you don't have that would be a big seller IMHO.
Women love jewelry and if you ever find a company that can make harmonica pendants on a simple bead chain or military dog tag style pendants that say Soul Patrol they'd be hugely popular! It could be made out of stainless steel which lasts forever and doesn't cost much.

It was very nice meeting you before the show on Friday!

Take care,
Andrea

Oh Andrea.....great idea! I was thinking about getting a harmonica charm for my bracelet but they would be so much more better/meaningful if they were engraved "soul patrol" and came from Stephen's stash of stuff.

Harmonica jewelry! How about if they actually worked? I have some charms that do stuff...and they're really cool.

Huggy

The necklace is a great idea. Smile
I had to buy a new handbag because mine is never big enough, having to hold all of my hubby's & daughter's stuff too *lol*.  So I bought a plain black leather bag & attached the Soul Patrol harmonica keychain to the handle.  I've gotten more compliments on that. It's given me more opportunity to sell people on Taylor's music. Smile
Great advertising! Grin
