AH -- your video links aren't working.. Sad

should it be http://www.youtube.com?
Thanks Margaux

Just re-did them - - can't see any difference in the addresses but for some reason when I get them from the URL box lately - instead of just copying the browser address - the hyperlinks sometimes go wonky after they've been fine in the preview test - - have no idea why and it is annoying as h*** - need a techy type to explain it to me Sad
Stool letter is pretty much done (Thanks Margaux). Will just add the Top 5 songs along with some other recommendations, type it up officially and print it off on the nice stationary I bought. Smile
Now the link worked, thanks so much.. Linda Ronstadt has such a fine voice, and that is a song I had never heard her sing. All the young divas should lock themselves in a room with a stack of her records and learn something about vocal control and song selection, Linda has always excelled at both --- Katharine McPhee are you listening?

First Cut Is the Deepest  -  Cat Stevens - 1967

I would have given you all of my heart
but there's someone who's torn it apart
and she's taking almost all that I've got
but if you want, I'll try to love again
baby I'll try to love again but I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest
'cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed
when it comes to lovin' me she's worst
but when it comes to being loved she's first
that's how I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

I still want you by my side
just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
cause I'm sure gonna give you a try
and if you want, I'll try to love again
but baby, I'll try to love again, but I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

'Cause when it comes to being lucky she's cursed
when it comes to lovin' me she's worst
but when it comes to being loved she's first
that's how I know

The first cut is the deepest, baby I know
The first cut is the deepest

AG, I'm with you-I have always loved that little bit he sang and want to hear him do it in it's entirety!

Yes, First Cut should be on the stool song list -- unless it gives him painful flashbacks of singing for Simon -- also People Get Ready.
I'd like to add "Turn The Page" Thud

Haha The gifts thread turns into music discussion in a flash Rotfl

Amy & Margaux, thanks for compiling the stool song list and letter,
and for getting the Maine gift cards and extras Huggy I think we're
going to be in good shape. I picked up extra cards yesterday if we
need them too. Smile
They both will be! Smile
I've got LL Bean flip-flops & a copy of the August issue of Downeast magazine for the Maine gift bag.
