Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your beloved cat, Stormy.
That must have been so hard for you, especially with the kids reaction and all.
You had your kitty for many years.

Thawks so sorry to hear about the lost of your precious family member.Then to add children into the fact of life,makes me want to .But I do see humor in the part about putting a bird feeder by them....they will never rest in peace.....

THawks - I'm sad to hear of your kitty's passing. But, he is in a better place, free of pain. Thinking of you and your family.

TayBea, it is hard, he was definately part of the family. The kids said Goodbye to him last night but they wanted to see him one more time before we buried him. They petted him one last time and then knelt down to say a prayer (their idea) and I lost it again! OMG I'm tearing up just thinking about it again.

Lisa, THANKS for cracking me up, you know that didn't occur to me about the birds!! I was just thinking a corner of the yard with a tree, flowers, birds and butterflies. I ordered a piece of slate with his name on it and the dates. Good Lord, I didn't realize you could spend a small fortune on pet memorials if you wanted to. I just wanted something with his name on it.

Amy, thanks for thinking of us. As long as the kids are good, I'm good. They get upset and it just breaks my heart.

Here are our newest members of our family went to our local animal shelter on July 15th and kids did the picking.......ummm I can not tell a lie we were only going for 1 little kitty kids picked snuggles the blk&wht one and Tiger just happen to jump in my back pocket as we were walking out the door.

Oh they are soooo cute! I don't blame you for falling in love with the orange tiger kitty either-that's the one I woulda picked.
Kittens are so hilariously funny, especially when you have two to wrestle with each other!

I'm sorry to hear about Stormy. It's so hard when you lose an animal they are such a member of our families. Mine our like my kids. Even though they do naughty things you just can't get mad at them.

Lisa, I was wondering if these little guys were new. I didn't think they were there when I was at your house. They are sweet and I'm glad you got them from your local shelter.

Trish, I'm so sorry to hear about Stormy. You had him your whole adult life and I'm sure he was a best friend. It's so hard to bury a pet, even harder with kids. That's so touching they wanted to do a prayer, etc. Your memorial sounds like it will be beautiful We're all thinking of you

We lost 3 cats in the last two weeks. I keep hoping that at least one will wander back but no luck yet. Coyotes are seen in our neighborhood occasionally so it's not good. I can't seem to get Joe to move or to okay having a large playyard built so it's really
frustrating.
