I was thinking we should have a thread for talking about our cats, asking ?'s, getting support if one of our babies is ill or worse, passes away.I have 3 cats. Just 2 months and a week ago I had four. I lost my favorite cat, Fluffy to cancer then. She was rescued 2 and a half years ago from an abusive home (one of Bob's clients) by Bob and me. She was the joy of my life, like a baby to me. When we adopted her we took her to the vet first and learned she had FIV, but we kept her and just kept her seperate from our other cats, and took other precautions. She was 6 years two months 3 days old when she passed away.I will post pictures of her and my other cats below-

That was Fluffy..... and now for the others-

Skippy- he passed away 3 years ago, he was a "momma's boy", really sweet

Snuggles- she passed away 3 years ago too, she was also very special to me, we rescued her,too

This is Sassy. She is a very sweet girl. She is almost completely blind in one eye, has been since when she was a kitten. Bob adopted her as a kitten app.11 years ago.

This is Snookie. He is 13. He was rescued off the streets, just like Snuggles. He is a big lovey! He thinks he's a dog, and likes to lick noses!

Last but certainly not least is Gilligan. He is 12.
I have 2 cats, MamaKitty and Weanie. Smile Oddball names for oddball cats...

MamaKitty's mother came to my parents and had a litter of kitten in their barn. We had someone lined up to take them all to the animal shelter but when the man arrived, MamaKitty escaped. Therefore, I officially named her OJ (it was around the time of the OJ Simpson trial...). When she had her litter of kittens shortly after, we started calling her MamaKitty. We decided she was here to stay, so we had her fixed. She's such a good cat. She can be a lap cat at times and after my niece was born in Feb, she tries to be the attention hogger. If you're on the couch with Emma, she has to sit right next to you too.

Weanie is MK's son and he was the runt of the litter. Therefore, he got his odd name of Weanie...he was the weaniest one of the bunch. He's a tough little guy - wirey frame and quite long. He's quite the hunter and dumber than a box of rocks most times. Definitely not a lap cat but he loves to sleep on the foot of my bed on a snowy or rainy morning.

I have some photos - will get them posted soon. Oh, they are both solid black cats too! No superstitions here. Smile

Amy, OJ and Weanie Rotfl:rotfl:  You have such a way with words Grin
OMG! Fluffy looks just like my cat Misty!
I see one of the kitties is named Gilligan, that's the name of our doggie-Gilligan!
I have two. Bill (9ish) and Rachel (4) (Bill is grey shorthaired and Rachel a lovely long hair Maine Coon tortoiseshell - or part Maine Coon at least). Both are rescued. Bill was a stray and remains independent and his own guy. Rachel was a shelter cat and is very demanding and smart and clever. She is a real princess and insists that Bill groom her. For such a gruff old guy, Bill has a soft spot for mischievous Rachel and spends much time grooming her head and de-snarling her behind the ears. So funny to watch ! I am glad to know there are lots of cat lovers in our group !!
No wonder we're all such good people - we're cat people!!! :D

Thank you for saying my fur babies are beautiful!!!HuggyI think they are, but I'm their mommy, so of course I do!! I really try to be a good cat mom. I hope that I am. Yes, actually all of our cats were"rescued" in one or another, they all have a "sad story", but now they are all quite pampered. I sure do miss my 3 who have passed on, and I included their pictures too, because they are still here with me...in my heart.

Liz, were all the cats on that page yours? GOOD FOR YOU! I admire so much people who are able to help out LOTS of cats. I for one wish I could help them ALL! But, you know, there are $$ and space issues. Liz, your cats are absolutely precious!!!!!

OH, neat! You should post some pictures of Misty some time! What kind of dog is Gilligan? I love dogs, too. Just a bit more of a cat person. But basically, I'm an animal lover.
