New Blog !! Sounds like Taylor had fun in New Orleans and is ready for New England WOO HOO. But he did say that fans pushed and pulled when he went out to the bus and seemed disappointed in the mob scene. The "bus" has been such a part of this tour I sure hope some overly pushy fans do not ruin it. Those who do not get a Meet and Greet really appreciate being able to see Taylor after the show at the bus! Glad we New Englanders have a reputation for being laid back.. so maybe he will be relaxed with his fans here?
That House of Blues scene in NO was a little ugly. I've read stories of over intoxicated fans and fights after the show on other recap threads. I don't think I've encountered much of that in the 6 shows I've attended and that includes the 2 that I went to down south. New Englanders know how to party right! Smile
The reports I read on the Boogie varied quite a bit by where people were standing - - most of the crowd seemed to be OK - - the big problem apparently came down to a group of 3 women with one being the type that gets nastier the drunker they get.
The HOB staff should have removed her after complaints were made  - or at the very least threatened to remove her ! !
but being a HOB they were more concerned with the possiblity that someone might get a few pictures - - they are positively anal about that Fear
loved the HOB vibe in Myrtle Beach and have a feeling from what I overheard as we were being wanded that they would have handled the situation better - - there was a woman with a biggg purse and had to dump it out on a table for the security people - she was cool with it but her friend was obviously "well on her way" and was having a hissyfit - - the older security guy told her that she needed to settle down and sober up or she would be waiting in the car for her friend - -we had to move on so don't know how it ended but she looked like she was going to take his "advice"  Cool
I can see having one (ok...maybe two) before the show but why get drunk?!
1. You don't remember the great show that Taylor knocked himself out for to give you.
2. You make a total arse out of yourself.
3. You might just kill somebody if you're stupid enough to drive home.
4. You must feel like absolute sh*t in the morning.

Totally not worth it . ShySadRoll Eyes

My thoughts exactly. In Myrtle Beach at the HOB, there was a woman directly to my right that was so drunk before the show started. We're talking a mature lady - not a young person - as in should have known better. She was swaying too and fro and her friend kept putting her arm around her to steady her. Several complaints were made about her and security came and asked her if she was intoxicated (DUH!) and she just waved them away. When Ted came out on stage to get it finalized for Taylor after The Greyhounds set, she said "Is that Taylor?!?" and got really excited. I thought Lady - you're not going to remember a thing from this night and I hope you really kick yourself hard in the ass tomorrow morning because you're going to miss out on something spectacular. I hope she had a raging hangover too. Yeah, I know - I'm mean. Smile

I think it's a shame that when we finally get a new blog this came up,
but I'm totally glad Taylor mentioned it so maybe people will wise up. w00t I can't imagine being in that situation and being
overwhelmed by fans who can't respect any boundaries-it must be
hell! Taylor is more than generous with sharing his time and going the
extra mile for all of us, and some people will wreck it for the rest if they keep it up. Fear
One thing I know Taylor is sure of - he won't have to ever worry about that kind of behavior from NESP.

I read Taylor's blog on HQ including the posts relaing to it. Taylor said he felt pushed and pulled! Two men grabbed him to help him get to the bus! Why wouldn't this be scary???

Some people implied in the HQ posts that Taylor was joking when he blogged this. They did not think he was afraid of being pulled apart as Taylor said. How can these people not listen to the man? Taylor said he feared being pulled apart and I believe him.

I hope there are fences now at all venues between the exit and bus doors. If people won't respect Taylor's space then they deserve to be on the outside of the fence looking in.

I'm so sorry this is the result of Taylor's stardom that may create a more self-protective Taylor. Can you blame him?  Sad
One thing that has been so great about Taylor is his accessibility. If things like this keep happening, we might lose that. And who could blame him?
I would hate to think that Taylor will now have to be on his guard all the time because of a few people who don't know how to behave.Taylor has always been so gracious to his fans and deserves the same respect!
