Tricia, Mari, and Cassie are putting together goodie boxes for Taylor
and the band/crew. I already gave her the books I ordered (some Ray
Charles books, and one about Soul singers, etc.) and assorted things
they can include. They're going to need items from each state to fill
the boxes-should be packaged stuff (lol why is that word coming up in
everything I post tonight?

) We discovered this past weekend that giving them booze preshow seems to be very effective

They'll decorate the boxes too, and it should be a cool gift. We'll also
be giving Taylor the scrapbook with the Concord Y kids' entries

Looks like someone cleaned house!!
I posted this previously but here is what I have for the Concord food baskets:
2 packages each of Pepperidge Farm Nantucket cookies (no longer called Nantucket by the way
) ....total of 4 packages. The company is in CT.
1 box each of Salt Water Taffy with New England seacoast picture and blurb about the candy on the boxes....total of 2 boxes.
I plan on parking near the venue and walking to Margarita's with this food, visiting will everyone and having a small bite and drink. I need to bum a ride back to the venue for the M&G and get to my car to pick up all the stuff I am bringing for Taylor to sign.
Will there be a card to sign at Margarita's??
hmmmm.....
I'm from NH. Let's see, what can be from NH. "The Granite State"
Real Maple syrup....?
I'll have to think of something.
I think I will bring a couple tubes of toothpaste from Sheffield Tube (New London, CT), to counteract the taffy!

Tom's of Maine toothpaste perhaps?

What the heck can I contribute from Massachusetts?
Maybe my tax bill! ***cue snare drum***
AHAHAHAHAAA!

If anyone is shopping for regional microbrews for the band:
There is a great convenience store, right down main street from the Holiday Inn (in the direction AWAY from downtown).. that has a fantastic microbrew selection AND best of all allows you to mix and match singles. Lots of Magic Hat from VT, many many Maine selections, and of course Sam Adams from our neighbor to the south.
NH doesn't have as many microbeers as our neighboring states -- I just told Amy I could get some of those beautiful blue bottles of Bud Light to represent the Anheuser Busch plant in Merrimack.

:rotfl:
I was actually thinking about some beer. Thanks for the info on the convenience store.
Sam Adams is classic "Boston" and makes many varieties/flavors!
Has anyone given Taylor the Red Sox wine? I saw it down the street from my house and some or all of the money goes to charity.
