Well...I made it home in 2 hours & 59 minutes! Arrived early for the clambake, at 11:59.  Highfive (It started at 12:00) Yes...Cadillac, the car whose wheels never (or rarely) touch the ground Haha I figure if I'm going 73 in the center lane and people are passing me on the left & right I'm really OK...makes sense, right?? Wink

OK clambake....awesome. Great spot, excellent food, and nice people.

... Michael is allergic to lobster so I traded him 1/2 a sausage for his lobster....and also gave him my corn because it tasted like seaweed, and I was in the mood for corn that tasted like corn....Haha

very nice afternoon....

must run now to the beach for the bonfire, live band, and fireworks that we are co-sponsoring....

Wow what a gorgeous day for a clam bake, I'm sooooo jealous that lobster looks so tempting,as I sit here eating cold yucky pizza UGH !! Glad you had a beautiful day !
Thanks for sharing your great pics grimsby!! I saw you up on your feet for the whole show last night and I was very envious because the person behind me was furious and kept yelling "sit down!!!" She was extremely rude. Sad

I too am allergic to lobster (all shellfish) whaaaaa! My dad used to go to a big Father's Day clam/lobster bake on the Cape for many years.
Andrea
I've lived in New England my whole life & have never been to a clambake, can you believe it?! Shy

Sounds like a wonderful day that you are having.
You must be one tired puppy today though!
Good morning campers!

Last night's bonfire on the beach was excellent, and the fireworks were very cool.

The band Sad
Not my choice; I campaigned hard for one of two but to no avail. They weren't right for the venue, but after the show, talking with them while we scoffed down pizza at 11:00 pm I learned they are very cool guys. They've opened for the Beach Boys, have been playing together for 35 years, etc......and more importantly, THEY LIKE TAYLOR!!!!! Thought he ws great on AI, knew he would win, think he'll do an awesome show.....we'll I just had to tell them HOW AWESOME the shows are....Smile They were amazed that I had seen him so much Haha , especailly three times in one week! (Thought Michael was cool to "let me go" alone)

There was dancing on the beach....oh yes, dancing on the beach. One of our friends grabbed me & said "want to dance"....well, I think you all can guess the rest! Haha So there I was.....in my Taylor Hicks hoodie....dancing away, sand flying....and of course, singing (loudly & off key Highfive) with the band. Michael watched for awhile, took a few photos....and slowly backed away! Haha

Tired you asked? Yeah....just a bit....however, today is a picnic for another 200 people, and I'm in charge of the Silent Auction. I'm really not sure if I have all the stuff together, or the sheets done, but lets hope so. I must have it & self all together and be there by 12:00. Yeah. OK.......and the stupid cat did not make my coffee like I asked her to. Haha She's laying on the rug near by her food bowl....think she wants something? Haha

I'll post fireworks photos later...should I survive the next events.

OH yes....antique car parade (we co-sponsor this too) at 12:00 so if I get auction ready in time I can go there & hand out stuff with Michael, then zip to the picinic....only two towns apart, 10 minutes on a good day....

Have a great day everyone!!
Huggy
Wow, sounds like a lot of fun! You are one busy lady!
Thank you for sharing your clambake recap with us here.
I too saw you down front dancing to Taylor during the concert!
Have you come down from your not stop weekend yet?? I'm tired just thinking of all you did! I took Emma to the Pilot Pen Tennis tournament here in CT, she had fun, was hot and we all look like lobsters!

Gina
HEY!

Here are a few photos from the bonfire and fireworks on the beach. Can't remember what day that was....it was the day after the Concord show. As you can see I'm still standing....blurry (because I move around too much is what I was told!) but having a blast.

OK...this is not looking the way I envisioned it.
Any ideas?
I read somewhere on a thread how to make the photos not thumbnail size but it just doesn't seem to "click" with me today....Sad

...so grab out the maginifying glasses, I guess, to see these photos
