I don't want to piss off anyone already waiting in line. There are going to be ones who are going to raise a stink & get Security to get proof that we can do this, then we're S.O.L.
***sigh*** can't we just get permission directly from Taylor somehow? Sad
I wonder if Taylor still checks messages on his hotline??

Most people should believe that with the lanyard & badge we are VIPs of some sort and not question the fact that we have a right to the front of the line. BUT there are 50 or more of us who could be movin on up ahead of some early birds. I'm sure we will get questioned but if anyone cops an attitide we could just flash a huge smile and say very sweetly and innocently "Are you in the official fan club?? GrinKiss....No??? Well you should join....there are lots of perks! Wink"
Gina...I'm in the same boat with 3 kids ages 5 to 9 and I want them to be very close to the front too. Official word from the venue that this plan will work would be so nice. We deserve it after all.....we are Tay's biggest fans and supporters and we should be up front singing along to every song!
I don't know that this plan will work for sure. We just have to be patient and see...it's worth a shot, right? Most people will be clueless as to what we're doing.
Merch would read his mail before Taylor, maybe he can give him a call for us......

My husband has been to all the concerts with me but two so he wants Emma and I to get up front, he's going to stand outside the seated area and listen. He's not going to take a seat, unless there are some in back, there are 710 seats I believe.
Keep in mind that anyone who gets in line early enough to get up-front seats is likely to be a potential NESP member that just hasn't heard of us yet. I would want them to have a good impression of us as a fun group and positive ambassadors for Taylor.

just to throw a boring - this is just business - perspective in here

I would be extremely surprised if Taylor has the ability to do anything about lines or seating

and he is not being treated any differently in that respect - - how a venue operates is usually decided by the people who own the property not the artist who is there for one performance - -  just think for a minute about the myriad of camera policies and their differing levels of enforcement that we've dealt with over these past months if you want an easy example  w00t

and don't forget the suggestion to do what we are planning came from the Big E - - Karen did try to arrange something and obviously impressed the contact enough for her to volunteer the information about what has worked for other fan groups

our little Bethel Woods group was concerned too but it turned out fine and the size of seated area there is similar to the concert venue at the Big E - - we could see the guys on the stage and the jumbotrons were really pretty neat because they did some great close ups - check out Amy's videos to see what I mean

it was interesting at BW to watch an audience that mostly hadn't heard Taylor before - - or at least not "this" Taylor - - was pleased with the response to The Right Place and there were quite a few people on their feet when his set ended - too many to be just "us"  - - think Taylor picked up some new fans

and it is important that Taylor gain new fans at the Big E too   - - the PR guy from the Big E said it took a while to sign him and it seems reasonable to assume that Taylor's main reason in doing it is to reach an audience that doesn't know enough about him to seek him out in the venues he has been touring - -

there are some very unflattering stories about the SP out there on the web - - I know that the people drawn to our site would never pull any of the things that have been witnessed and reported - - so we have a great chance to make a positive impression by people seeing how much fun it is to be a Taylor Hicks fan   Highfive

have reminded myself on more than one occasion that we are ambassadors for Taylor when at his concerts and have refrained from doing little things like politely shouting  STFUP at a loud motor-mouth or two - -  Wink
crabby people in brown polka-dot dresses who cause security to make everyone in the place sit down might be a possible exception however

I think I'll just get at the end of the line, if there is one, when I get there and if I don't have front row seats that's ok, (but just this once!) LOL

Thank you for clearing that up for me.  I have no idea how things are run. Smile
