Thanks to Taylor, Bill Will, Nicole at The Firm, and Ms. Joni Hicks and the wonderful support of the Soul Patrol, Bluzkat has raised over $5,000.00 from Taylor's instruments that benefits both Kid One and the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund.
The Summer of Soul auction so far is a complete success with the cowbell bringing in a whompin $2,750.00!!! We couldn't have done it with out all of you and your support.
We have other instruments with Taylor's autograph which we will be auctioning off throughout the rest of the year that goes to benefit the NOMRF.

Calling bluzkat ,
saw a reference to the cowbell somewhere recently and have a question. I seem to remember that the person who bought it was supporting the NOMR project and gave the cowbell back so it could be donated ? ? Was it to the Alabama Hall of Fame ? ?
Would you mind telling the tail - er - tale ?

Yes! A very devoted fan of Taylor's won the auction for the cowbell and requested it be donated to the NOMRF in reconition for the hard work they and BluzKat have done in continuing to bring awareness in music.
I had a conversation with Jeff and he said to "Bring the bell back home to Alabama and have it displayed where Taylor will be reconized for his hard work and dedication to music." Someone made the suggestion that the Alabama Music Hall of Fame would be perfect. 
I contacted David, the Director and he welcomed the bell to be put into the upcoming AI exhibit dedicated to Taylor. It was strongly felt the bell deserved to be in this special exhibit dedicated to our Soul Man for his musical accomplishments and his continuing efforts to keep the music alive.
Taylor has been and continues to be an inspiration and driving force behind BluzKat and our mission to bring the music to the kids. 
The bell is autographed with SOUL PATROL that will serve as a reminder of ALL of Taylor's dedicated fans and will be viewed for generations to come.

Gosh the memories... Who would have thought that this lowly humble cowbell served its master so well went out to help those musicians in need and then come home to Alabama inspiring more future charitable musicians in our world??
These monies donated to NOMRF really helped the New Orleans Musicians who suffered wrath of Katrina more than we will ever know.
THIS cowbell auction truly bring the real meaning of ....
