AH -- Yes I did have thoughts after reading about Orange Beach, and comments that were posted here and there about possible future work with Jon Cook..

Either of the Taylor-Josh-Brian G or the Taylor-Brian L-Jon C combos would make fine music. If Taylor is busy writing/recording music, it seems to me, he should hibernate for 4 to 6 weeks at a time and then come out for a week or so.. but what do I know?

Except for the Taylor originals and "Gonna Move" the 2006 CD songs were not road tested. We have seen from this year how some songs have grown and changed on the tour.. the piano interlude in the Maze being a great example.
I wonder how much of a "tour" the acoustic thing will be. I recall reading recently somewhere that when asked about the acoustic tour, Taylor said something like "what acoustic tour...I might be doing a few dates at some places I'd like to play." So will this be a full-blown tour or just a few dates?

I like the combo you've suggested AH, and I think I would go just about anywhere in the USA to see that one!
Deb, good point
when Taylor first started mentioning this he was saying it as if it would be a tour - there is a video in which he jokingly calls it "the cost effective tour" - suspect he was only partly kidding Wink
can't remember what the venue / song was right now in order to go find it - arrggghh

but he has also said things that indicate it may be more what you are saying and Margaux is suggesting - -
a few dates here and there to feed the fans and his own need to perform -  and - if we are lucky - to road test some new music !?!

maybe he could call it the Sporadically Spontaneous Tour   Grin
Not to sound ignorant, but can someone please catch me up on Tay's "hibernation" and what is going on with the band? I've had a lot going on this Summer! Thanks!

Taylor is not in hibernation as of yet,the tour dosen't officially end until the end of Sept,I believe.Don't know if it will be a complete hibernation, but it will give him a chance to rest and do some writing YEAHWoohoo  I asked the same question about the band on another site and the answer was that they will probably go their own way after the tour because like everyone if they don't work they don't get paid. I for one would love to see them continue together in the future, they are so in sync with each other, they are all incredible musicians, which makes for an awesome concert. I hope that answers some of your questions, that's about all I can offer Smile
