Yes, Amy, it was used in the final Sopranos episode...so funny that its so high up there on the downloads...I have it on about 10 or so 80s compilation CDs--not to mention Journey's album....those were the days---HS, football games and 80s big hair...too much!

A woman on WalMart radio this morning requested The Right Place as a dedication for a new baby. Sweet, but I thought an odd choice given some of the lyrics....anyway, it made my shopping much more pleasant. WalMart radio loves Taylor.....I hear him there all the time.

Seger:  "If it's loving that you want, you've come to the right place, baby"..  Sort of a cute message for a newborn.     

People don't always listen to the whole song before thinking they work for an occasion.   I've heard of people requesting that old Whitney Houston song "Saving All My Love For You", which is about an extra-marital liaison, to be played at their weddings..  

I believe in fate and the story of this song reinforces that opinion.Here is a song that sat around for all those years,just waiting for the performer who would do the song justice,and along comes Taylor Hicks and the rest is history.There is a reason for everything,in this case it was well worth the wait,Taylor knocks The Right Place out of the ballpark everytime! I consider it a Taylor Hicks classic !!

I love this story! The Right Place is my favorite song on the CD as well and also has been featured on my MySpace page from the beginning.

My favorite song too! And Emma's! She said at the next concert she want's to start the song! Yeah until he calls her on it and she freezes! Que Amy who can help her out! :rotfl:
