Another great listen I found yhis morning over at C2what.com
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals....Lifeline.What's right about
organic and acoustic sounding.
Lisa -- you're so good. Highfive  I do enjoy Ben Harper.
Once we get through all this baseball stuff, I'll give a listen to your suggestions.
Just an FYI....both Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice came out with new (sophomore) CDs this week. Grin
HighfiveThanks Lisa, like Margaux says, after this baseball stuff is over, will have time to listen...want to get Bo's new CD too Smile
Here's a great artist with New England ties that was featured in this weekend's Bangor Daily News -
http://www.leahtysse.com/index.php

Quote:
Leah Tysse has the blues. But that’s a good thing for the Orono High School graduate.  For the past decade, the 32-year-old Tysse has been making a name for herself as a blueswoman in San Francisco. A recent significant step on this journey was the September release of her self-made debut album, "Real Good Fire."

So, I have a number of new interests. Lisa, totally agree with Ben Harper. Also found Ryan Shaw. Very retro. His website says, This 26-year-old singer/songwriter from Decatur, Georgia is out to revive the passion and soul of the Golden Age of Rhythm & Blues (1960-1972) for a new generation. http://www.thisisryanshaw.com/#

The other is Martin Sexton. He's apparently been around for a while. Same influences as Taylor. He's from upstate NY I think, but was a street musican in Boston and Cambridge. The song that brought me to him and his new CD "Seeds" was "Happy" but the one that really got to me was "There Go I." http://www.martinsexton.com/
