The Chevorlet Theater in Wallingford Ct,would be perfect for a Taylor concert. Not too big, good view from most any seat and last but not least it's practically down the street from where I live. This used to be the Oakdale Theater .I have seen Barry Manilow,Journey,Tony Bennett,Kenny Rogers,Tom Jones and numerous plays. It's a lovely venue, here's hoping this will come to pass YEAH !!

Amen!  I saw Brian Wilson once when it was the Oakdale, and more recently after it became the Chevrolet.  A really excellent venue.  The only bad seats, IMO, were the ones behind the drunk people that always seem to sit in front of me! Haha  Annnnd, there's a restaurant down the street that is very accepting of "fan groups".

You know you're right it must be Murphy's law or something, cause I always seem to be behind the most annoying fan at a concert too ! That restaurant has decent food and is inexpensive too.Let's hope it happens !w00tbounce

I triple-agree with the suggestion of the Chevrolet Theater!!!
This place is only 45 minutes away from me, and I have seen MANY Broadway shows on their National Tour here, and not a single bad SEAT here...

Though my parents & I have had some really annoying people in front of us for the shows as they were season ticket holders for the Broadway Series, and they were incessant talkers...
Fortunately, they did shut up during the actual shows...

I was at Oakdale "way back when" to see Chicago. Great place for
a show-I wondered what they were calling it these days...I just love
outdoor concerts Highfive
The Providence Performing Arts Center is really a graet place as well. Lots of places to eat for us fans, great acoustics, lots of different shows go there and really no bad seats.

MB
The Chevrolet Theater, formerly The Oakdale, is unfortunately not an outdoor venue...
The Dodge Theater, formerly the Meadows, is similar to the venue in Southaven, MS, on July 22...

Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, NH . . . http://www.tupelohall.com/

Since am posting may as well add . . . Merrill Auditorium in Portland, ME.
The sound is incredible there [ remember the 2007 concert ] . . should be since it was built specifically for the Portland Symphony Orchestra

Interestingly the venue itself does not have a website . . other than its ticket outlet. Info is scattered across other sources like the orchestra, an opera company, and multiple references in others.
Primary info source is Portix and if run mouse over this seating chart can see stage views from the different areas . . . http://info.porttix.com/seating_chart

ETA: opps - Hi, Tricia . . I really need to ignore the phone when posting . . or preview for added posts. blushing

HOUSE OF BLUES - Boston: opens in February

The House of Blues-Boston is replacing the Avalon music club on Boston's Lansdowne street, across from Fenway Park, site of Taylor Hicks' fabulous Boston concert in April 2007.

I'm getting some shows in my Ticketmaster alert this week, including a weekend stand by Dropkick Murphy's the weekend before St. Pat's.

There are some interesting membership packages, but no prices listed. I sent an email inquiry..

Even if no one we know plays there, it would be fun to check it out this spring.
