the future-thought they might like to share them with you...

The Garde Theatre, New London CT. The Garde is a recently restored and renovated historical theatre. Most recent big names to perform there were the Allmans (they stayed at the Radisson around the corner) and several Broadway and off-Broadway shows have also come through. I have seen 1950s B-movies, Beatlemania, and an interactive Sound of Music there, and they host political debates, so a very diverse stage! They often have pre-show receptions for their season ticket holders and/or fan groups (anyone willing to pay a premium). There are also several excellent restaurants in the area, including Tony D's (Italian), Northern Indian Restaurant (guess), and Xocolatl, a chocolate cafe. (And it's only 20 minutes from either casino, if you want to make a weekend of it!)

The Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, MA.

It seats up to 3,000 but is VERY intimate in seating design. No bad seats! Irish Tenors, Melissa Etheridge, Bill Cosby and Bruce Springsteen have all played here to name a few!
IMHO this historic theater in the Merrimack Valley is PERFECT for an acoustic show! It's only 30 minutes north of Boston too.

I second this suggestion! Been to the Auditorium many, many times. Lowell is well known for it's support of music with the Lowell Folk Festival every July.

The Chevorlet Theater in Wallingford Ct,would be perfect for a Taylor concert.Not too big,good view from most any seat and last but not least it's practically down the street from where I live.This used to be the Oakdale Theater .I have seen Barry Manilow,Journey,Tony Bennett,Kenny Rogers,Tom Jones and numerous plays.It's a lovely venue,here's hoping this will come to pass YEAH !!

I'm going to go out on a limb and post these with no prayer in hell that Taylor will ever play them. I have pipe dreams. Acoustic sets in either of these places would be amazing.

Ellsworth is only about 20 miles from Bar Harbor. I say he make a weekend of it!

Amen! I saw Brian Wilson once when it was the Oakdale, and more recently after it became the Chevrolet. A really excellent venue. The only bad seats, IMO, were the ones behind the drunk people that always seem to sit in front of me! Annnnd, there's a restaurant down the street that is very accepting of "fan groups".

You know you're right it must be Murphy's law or something,cause I always seem to be behind the most annoying fan at a concert too ! That restaurant has decent food and is inexpensive too.Let's hope it happens !
