I have been very reflectful the past few days and having lots of mixed feelings about the end of the tour and the end of the summer.

This has been an incredible summer for NESP and an incredible year for many of us. It definitely has been enlightening for me and changed my life in so many good ways. I can't believe the connections I have made with so many of you and soul patrollers from all over.

I spoke on the phone with one of the band members on Sunday, while they were doing sound check in Jones Beach. He talked about how they were packing up and flying home on Monday after a very long haul. They had cargo carriers that they were loading the equipment on this time - not the tour buses. The buses were going to their homes, too. Some of the guys will be chilling out with their families, some will be joining new tours, and some will be looking for new projects. Needless to say, we will miss them.

Let's wish all the guys great luck in what their musical future holds for them. Here's hoping we will get to see them again on Taylor's next tour.

I to hate to see it all come to an end...but we all the saying to well, not even going to say it.I wish them all good health and happiness
and maybe we will meet again.Sure hope so.It has been one hell of a
time and am sure there will be MORE TO COME!Grin
The busses are going home too? Tay won't live on the bus anymore?
Ah...don't get me started on the end of summer. It always makes me feel melancholy. I don't detest autumn but the season that comes after it that starts with a W. Couple this with the end of our fun this year...I hope it's only the beginning of the good things to come. We may not have any parties to plan right away but I'm sure Taylor will keep us hopping & bopping with good news.

And, once the Whomp at the Warfield is released, we should have a screening party. Grin Now who wants to help me plan that? Grin

I will Amy we can even have it at my house, that is if no one minds
coming up to the end of the world...dogsleds would have to pick
everyone at your house first thoughHaha the beer would stay cold
real cold.Popcorn anyone.......Woohoo I just had another thought
I live a the top of a big hill from here we could all slide to AH. house
ya lets do it but don't tell her.(wink,WINK)Devil

A screening party sounds great Amy! And if it is late enough in the year, we could combine it with a christmas party.

I'm feeling melancoly too about the end of the tour. Part of it is the Taylor quote that has been bantered around the boards, something about Taylor saying that once the bus stops he's afraid it might not start up again. I have the same fears... I hope this is the end of the beginning and not the beginning of the end.
I've been feeling kind of sad too-we were so spoiled this summer! Sad

I'm looking at it as intermission. The chance to take a short breather
and walk around and look at things for a bit. Make some cash to pay
for the next round. Put together our scrapbooks, and organize our
media, and be nice to the people close to us that let us carry on our
grand adventures this summer Huggy (lol more like butter them up
for the next tour Haha)

Love the idea of the DVD screening/holiday party w00tbounce Who
has a big screen and is centrally located? We had talked about a
holiday party anyway and that would be the perfect entertainment.
Hopefully they release it as I bet many SPers would buy it for presents
and he'd make some good $$.
Me and my big ideas...ok, who is centrally located? Suppose we should actually wait for a release date too, huh? Haha
I think I might be the most centrally located, but do not have a large screen TV. Maybe SegerHicks?
Though it makes me sad to see the tour end I'm going to view it as a new begining, a rebirth..There's always something new and exciting to look forward to,and I think Taylor is gonna emerge from this rest with some kick ass new songs,a fabulous album and a renewed energy that can only mean bigger and better things.I see great things on the horizon for Taylor,This isn't the end,it's simply the end of the first of many chapters !. I'm looking forward with great anticipation to the next chapter! And a screening party sounds great,I love parties !!
