I still have trouble once in a while posting pics, etc... It's so dang complicated!

LISA...I am a computer retard and I tried for about 9 months to post pics (going back to 2006) but one day I figured it out and now I am a picture posting fool. It's easy once you follow the right steps.

I copy the img code says copied paste it over on our site in the box where it asks for it and then all that comes up is the linking codes,no picture.Now the one that somehow you got the picture to come up was just a box with a red x in the middle of the box.Haven't got a clue as to how I got that to come up that way.I've read and reread all the help feature in photobucket check all my settings It's all pretty simple to follow but something is not right.When you said you changed the code and settings due you mean pertaining to this site and seperate controls????

Lisa, I'd be happy to walk you through it tonight (at work right now). I think a lot of times the problem is that people over-think the process. PM me if you want a private tutorial!

I am going to guess that you are picking up the picture link from Photobucket - or wherever - that is already coded for posting on a board.

When you then use the little box from the menu (mountain w/red sun) you are causing a double code situation.

If what you are picking up already looks like this  [IMG] picture link [/IMG]   then you can just paste it directly into your comment.

By using the Insert image command you are creating this  [IMG][IMG] picture [/IMG][/IMG] which is an invalid command.

Paste the img code directly into your post. Try that - it should work! I had what sounds like the same problem and that's what Tricia had me do. Voila - it worked!
