Can't forget Zippy! Zippy matters, too!

Happy Birthday to us!
I would like to thank you ladies for starting NESP. I come to this site at least a couple times a day to read the new posts. Don't know what I'd to without it. Smile
It's been quite a year! I love all the little projects and gift-giving!
Can't wait to go to the Big E.
Well wishes for NESP at the Boogie.

Amy
meant to thank you for doing this before - so  Thank you !  Huggy

next time I'm roaming around Portland I'll definitely go get some of my own shots - - - -
but for now I found these photos of the incredibly cool exterior of The Asylum and wanted to share them with all of you

the mundane typical city look path leading you to The Asylum

and then ! ! !   Cool
these are photos of the graffiti painted on the exterior walls of The Asylum - the photos are from a search and the size I could capture depended on what protections the photo takers had in place - - let's put it this way - if you see the term "spaceball" in a URL address it is a bad thing  ! ! !

this one is a shot I found that is identified by the photographer as being from the Asylum near the back of the room the bands play in and it looks right to me

same guy with shot of the stage

Thanks Linda...I never noticed the artwork on the exterior! I must have been preoccupied! Haha

YA THINK ? ? ? ?  Haha

in fairness - we had checked out the location before the concert when it was still daylight and it is not as visible walking up from the Civic Center either

I was so wound up that day. I felt like I was the main organizer of everything (when all I really did was hook the band & the venue up) and I was responsible for everyone's good time. I don't think I really relaxed until I got to the Asylum (man...that's a statement I should make more often Haha).
Amy, hooking up the band and the venue was pretty major in my
book!! Highfive I didn't notice the cool graffitti either, but was in the
same mindset you were, and also blown away by seeing Taylor up
close by the busses Thud

Nice of the Boogie to post some good wishes to NESP-hopefully
more of them will post here once in awhile too w00tbounce
I couldn't believe that me, sitting at my little old computer 3 hours away from Portland, was able to email LMBO's manager at the time, Dean, and then find a club that was willing to book a band from Alabama for a night.

Modern technology is amazing. Haha
